  1. Love it! That's something that will always be remembered.
  2. Before and after adding the color. I never got prints made of this one. It's framed and in the hall to the finished basement. (My lair of sorts... lol)
  3. As always, thanks for letting me share. I actually finished this in the spring. Haven't seen about getting it scanned for prints for the kids yet but they also may be getting too old. May just get framed like the FF picture I did in 2016. JLA is my 1st love in comic collecting and was the first title that got me "hooked" in 1978. (#156 - The Fiend With Five Faces) This is my homage to them, in color, similar in style to the FF one I did. (My first shot at a JLA drawing was B&W, smaller and done in 2011.) Please excuse the blurriness.
  4. Awesome job as always! Big thanks to all involved!
  5. It isn’t rocket science... if you sign up, send a gift. If you get a gift, thank your Secret Santa. Not sure why some people can’t comprehend this.
  6. Form submitted. Easiest way to do things in the Raffle, at least for me.
  7. I big Christmas Thank You to Dave aka The Human Torch! Love the Legion of the Unliving Avengers #131! Probably around 40% complete on the MTU series. The "Ready Player One" book was a real surprise. I have been thinking of getting it based on all the good reviews but no one but myself knew. Karma.
  8. My Raffle Prize offering is a new JLA: The Silver Age TPB Vol. 2 (Note: not the Omnibus) plus some JLA comics (ideally useful to the person choosing the prize.)
  9. I couldn't find if we were doing the Secret Santa again this year? Probably missed any announcements as I don't post much.
  10. X-Men #1 is probably out of reach for me now. So glad I bought my B&B 28 from Bob Storms 5 years ago.
  11. I chose to stop my quest with the original series. I actually stopped buying them new back in the early 80's maybe around the 140's. As much as I liked the books and earlier issues, I grew tired of the same old storylines.
  12. Some smaller runs. I'm one book away from finishing DC Comics Presents. I'm almost halfway on MTU. X-Men is a moon shot. I may try all the Batman team ups in Brave and The Bold. I have #130 on plus the 100 pagers and Neal Adams books. Mix in the three JLA and the Teen Titans and it's a nice collection so far.
  13. Later 90's books. They tend to not make it to shows and I rarely found them on the online sellers I use. They aren't worth much but I wanted them at least a 9.2. I managed to wrap up the last 10 books this year.
  14. Yeah, I have the Giant Size. No strong desire for Savage Sword but maybe Savage Tales. I will take some time to savor..,
  15. Sometimes I wonder if it's a curse...
  16. Well, it only took 37 years but I have completed my run of Conan the Barbarian from #1 to #275 plus all the Annuals. It's hard to believe the journey has been 37 years. I was 14 when I encountered the books and comics. I'm sure part of the influence was my new fascination with D&D and having read LOTR. Today, while in Naperville, I acquired the final 3 pieces of the puzzle. (all late Annuals) Now, I have a few issues I want to upgrade but, similar to my JLA run a few years back, I have the set. On a side note, I also filled in 2 holes of my X-Men run this week. I now have #94 to #310, even though most of the issues past the 180's were past my young collecting days with X-Men and told hold any nostalgia for me. Doubt I will ever complete #1 - #93 but I am almost 1/2 way there. Thanks for letting me share.
  17. I experienced them as reruns in the mid-70's as a 9 to 10 year old. Loved it! I have the box set and it is full of nostalgia for me. Makes me sad. RIP Mr West
  18. Thanks for the advice! I'll give this one to my nephew. I didn't scratch it off the want list.
  19. Yes, it's looks like a razor or scissors cut it. Not a chunk missing. Having done this a decent portion of my life (lol) I did take it out of the bag but didn't notice the cut (which was me going too fast).
  20. Quick Question No pictures, just clarification. I bought a few books, one of them being Superboy #208, a 50 cent giant. I didn't look at the back cover close enough. The book is great looking, probably a 9.2 and very clean white cover. But, on the back cover, there is a very fine 1" straight cut at the top. Almost unseen until I looked closer and it opened. That being said, does it automatically drop the book to a VG 4.0 or so? I was looking for a 9.2 and it's not an expensive book so no worries. I can give it to my nephew while I continue hunting. Thanks!
  21. It's still a good show. I thought it was a far better show 15 years ago from a comic buying perspective.
