  1. Thank you both very much, I just really appreciate the series and that cover is all.
  2. Not exactly, more long the lines of print run ballpark, if anyone had any interest in the original AF cover like myself, in addition to questioning if it was indeed the original AF cover. No biggie.
  3. I'm sadly bumping my own question. Maybe I'm the only fan of Scud or I grossly got over shadowed by pimping. Yeah, now it's sad every way I look at it.
  4. By the makers of the stellar Batman games nonetheless! So awesome, thank you for sharing Bosco!
  5. So true, so hard to pick one. Outside of Harbinger we have the same few on our lists. I'd just throw in a Goon #1. Well, and a few others. Also, I swear if that Evil Ernie #2 on eBay triggers my #1 alert once more I'm gonna snap. Not really, but the brief excitement is very over shadowed by the let down. Love this thread already. Great books on here!
  6. Gotta link? I'm only seeing handful of names. Edit, tracked it down in artists alley. Nice!
  7. Thanks guys! It was a tough one to part with but I know the new owner will thoroughly enjoy it!
  8. I'm out of the club. Fingers crossed I return sooner rather than later with a blue label.
  9. Quick question for you guys... If I'm not mistaken Scud #9 is the first action figure cover. Maybe I'm wrong. I was looking to see how many were on the census and saw none graded. I just thought it would be a really cool slab to own as the original AF cover and found it shocking none were graded. Is it due to no interest, low print run, hard to find in HG, or a combinations? Granted I've never sought out a HG copy. Just curious.
  10. I feel like most collectors from the 1990s have a lot of these books, but they either aren't in comics at all anymore (books are in storage), or they don't understand slabbing and have no experience with it. I can name 10 guys who collected comics when I did in the early 1990s. None of them are into comics now. The census can certainly grow, but until it does... a lot of collectors have to either buy slabs at current market prices or do without. I think on these boards people forget most of the collectors out there mainstream buy raw books in various conditions. The slabs are a niche market with quirks and choices within. Raw book sales are still key. Many on here tend to forget that. It takes time, but market acceptance of slabs has grown significantly over the past 3 years here in Alberta. This spring I took slabbed and raw copies of a few Copper books to the Calgary Expo - most of the slabs sold while I still have the raw books in my show wall stock. It has become easier to sell slabbed SA and BA books, especially keys/1st apps, at the shows as well as collectors want more certainty that their $2000 purchase is relatively accurately graded (taking CGC inconsistencies into account) and unrestored (most importantly). I think this trend will continue to grow. Very well said, I've also noticed a demand as well in my area and I love the sig line! (thumbs u
  11. We can't always live to tell a tale for another day. Intoanother is a good name but I have nicknamed you slabhunter! These plastic tomb books are expensive! I've been debating changing my name to RenoKelly cause I'm down to the felt!
  12. Long boxes, where the non 9.8 candidates go to die. I prefer Starbucks over gas station coffee. I prefer a nice high grade book in a CGC case. Starbucks took a little while to catch on and be on every corner. The masses can change. Nate
  13. I'd say that is slab worthy for sure at a 9.4-9.6 if the price was right on the collection. Should bring in just under $500 or so in 9.6 or about half that in 9.4 imo. It's a great series! Very nice find.
  14. It was only my opinion. What do I know. I just don't see Deathstroke as a major player but im most likely a little bias because I was never crazy about him. I can definitely see him on the big screen but have a hard time seeing him in a major role as many others get. I don't think comparing the number of NM 98's and NTT's in 9.8 is a fair comparison. Deadpool fans are a thing of their own and I feel Deathstroke fans don't remotely compare to the level. In addition I can easily see the number of NTT 2's in 9.8 taking a rather large bump on the census if big screen time is surely approaching. I've yet to see, yet haven't sought out any Deathstroke news. I do think it is a nice key, but one I do not see going for NM 98 numbers. Maybe it's just me. I'd feel better with a ASM 300 in 9.8 than 2 NTT 2's in 9.8 in the long run for value and stability. For what it's worth I only own one reader NTT 2 that's in my PC run and no ASM 300's. (We should probably continue elsewhere)
  15. Let's take it easy by referring to it as a 9.9 . Shall we say the book in that 9.9 case? Green label or not after seeing quite a few of those slabs I'd be crossing my fingers for a 9.6 the way they grade.
  16. Thank you Jeff for the clarification. I didn't give the variant notation aspect any thought.
  17. Perhaps the point is to get an idea of how many of each exist? I have no real opinion on the matter. Maybe a poll would be best before its further pushed. Rarity aside I just prefer the small detail of how the black pops. I don't own either own though.
  18. Woah woah woah, let's say table this for a few months or so? I'd like to have a little time buy that under copy 9.9 James has. His 11.0 is sickkkk!
  19. I think it would be cool yet I'm sure to most it may bother them if by chance it does indeed wind up effecting the value of the white label in a negative way. Just let me get a black label first.
  20. Bravo Bird, Kudos to your daughter. Done in a style that always seems to catch my eye and exceptionally done for the age!
  21. Personally I can only see NTT 2 going down, quite a bit down in a few years. 221 . Not a fan so no comment. 300 in 9.8 I'd hold. Lots of people grew up and continue to love Venom.
