  1. For punishment, use the mitre saw to give your right hand an angle cut. I say he should cut a sig book in half and scan it.
  2. ...is right. There needs to be a public apology here from the seller. It's the only thing that's appropriate. (thumbs u Although normally I would agree I did have one instance where a paypal notification did not show up in my email inbox (and this is how many of us register payment) and so I had been waiting payment for a week while it was sitting in my paypal account. R.
  3. ...got to be patient..... Not yours yet sweetie.
  4. My books were shipped on time though right What books? Funny.... You sonic the hedghog #7 is on it's way. CGC 5.5.
  5. My books were shipped on time though right What books?
  6. I'd like to put myself on the forum probation thread. I'm late shipping out packages. They're on the way now.
  7. is that supposed to be you looking in the personals? Yes how much did you have to pay the chick?
  8. Add me to the list. This place is a sad joke... Who's going to bump all the useless threads?
  9. I was thinking the exact same thing... Dude, there's gotta be someone that's put it on you tube by now! I remember a few months ago seeing a waterspout/twister in singapore on youtube about 3 or 4 hours after it happened!
  10. I'm not versed on this subject, but I can imagine that a TURD colored forum scheme is not going to put anyone in a good mood. Certain colours are better than others. From what i remember, pinks are soothing, but only for short periods. Blues are aggresive. Reds are stimulating while yellows and oranges are "digestive" colours. Greens are healing. I think the reason the old yellow board was so appealing was because it was "light", bright and uplifting. It was a "feel good" colour. Arch did mention in his "list to do" that optional colours will be an upgrade. I miss the old site though....anyone have a snap shot so I can revisit?
  11. BTW...to r1970d and Jeffro...your two purchases still stand (it relieves a small amount of pressure on old guy) and a special to the pair of you Dude, I just wanna say i love in in a "rugby and broken bones, smack you in the back or your head while your girlfriend is checking me out" kind of way.
  12. That's a sweet book Angelo! Didn't I sell you a #61 a while back?
  13. Can you solve the Middle East crisis next? Actually yes. I'll post my solution in the WC when i get some time.
  14. Don't know what the problem is. Don't know there is a watercooler? Now you know. Don't know anyone there? Start posting there and you will. You didn't know anyone here either until you started posting. Want opinions from other comic collectors? If all off topic posts are put there, they will follow and post in your thread. Real simple to me.
  15. for accomodating my unusual shipping request Asking to have your books shipped in boxes from men's underwear?
  16. Kudos to greggy because he forced me to. Ok the books were sweet too.
  17. . Mike, you should check out the GA forum. They've got an pre #30 Action thread, and then the same guy goes and starts a "Post your Action #" thread. Makes my old NM range SA X men run look like a rubber duck. R.
  18. Definately under appreciated. People were not prepared for PURE Frank Miller. Up until then, peoplw were used to seeing Jansen's or Rubenstein's version of Miller. Ronin was a MASSIVE awakening as to what Miller was capable of, and people were shocked. Had DKR come out before Ronin it may not have been recieved as well. Personally, I loved Ronin and still do. Loved the Japanese theme, the art, layouts, story. Everything. And i also consider DKR oneof the finest pieces of comic literature ever created. R.
  19. One of my favourite Marvel covers of all time! Menacing Sentinel, trapped Xavier, the X men rushing in...will they make it in time? And red. Lots of red....
  20. Does it have anything to do with flogging? anybody got pics?
  21. Black cover, semi key book. I'd say a 9.6 might fetch in the neighbour hood of double that as a 9.8 sold for over $5000 if i remember correctly. R.
  22. I sold a 9.4 white of that book for $1250 or $1300 in 2004 so that is not far off.
  23. As I said earlier, there is almost an obsessive need by board members to pay less than GPA for a book, no matter how desirable it is or how badly they want it. It's like some kind of comic collector macho thing. I'd like to input a bit here. Bob has actually paid me above GPA for books. That is a dealer paying over GPA prices. I'd like to think Bob has an idea of what the market will bear. Oh and I personally use GPA and love it. R.
