  1. If I'm reading correctly - When someone buys a comic (or whatever), the money is put on hold, but you're still required to ship it out before the money is released?
  2. 2 book Value submission: Received - 6/5/19 4 book Value submission: Received - 8/29/19 10 book Value submission: Received - 9/26/19 I like to watch my grass grow while I wait.
  3. Sheesh. If I stayed in that position long enough to have mounds of snow build up on my shoulders and top of my head, I would've cramped up for sure.
  4. That is exactly what I thought at first. But then it occurred to me that the very first PP payment that was sent was denied...and it was for far less than other payments I received in the past. Thought - Of the 1000s of PP users who have run a sales thread in the past, I wonder if any of them experienced this?
  5. I believe Comic Realm is for raw. GoCollect is for slabbed. Ebay is for either. (I hope you're looking at actual sales & not asking prices) CGC gives no values. Don't EVER believe ANYTHING you hear/see on a youtube video.
  6. Well, I guess I was waaaay off in thinking comic restoration was a fairly (20 years) new thing. How do I feel about it now? I think it's a cool looking book. I think it'd look cooler with a blue label. I think between being raw & having a purple label, it'd look better raw, so I'll probably remove it from the slab & put it in mylar.
  7. I've had this book since the early 80s. Because of that, I thought for sure it'd come back Universal.
  8. Yep, yours did no problem.
  9. A couple of weeks ago I ran a For Sale thread in the G/S/B section. Had about 6 or 7 buyers. After payments started coming in, I noticed they were getting denied by PP. Sunday night only 1 was denied, but when I got up Monday morning, 2 or 3 more had been denied (all by different buyers). I have been using PP for well over a decade and never had a payment be denied. Now, all of a sudden, I had 3 or 4 in 24 hours. The funny thing is, some of the other buyers paid via PP without a problem. I called PP and asked her what was going on and she told me that somehow the payments had set off some kind of trigger and PP was unable to process them. When I asked what that trigger was (so it wouldn't happen again), she told me that not only could she not tell me that, but nobody there could tell me that. A couple of the buyers called also and got the same nonanswers that I got. Another weird thing is that a couple of buyers had their original payment denied, but their payments went thru ok when resubmitted a few days later. Has this ever happened to anyone here? I'm kind of leery about ever having another sales thread - too many hassles (for me and the buyers)
  10. I freely admit to being a hypocrite on this matter. I bad-mouth CGC for that stuff you mentioned (& not just thru the internet), but I continue to submit. One of the biggest reasons I continue to submit is the resale value. In all honesty, I would've left for the the other guys a long time ago, but the flipper in me won't allow it.
  11. I must be bored. I just spent 10 minutes comparing the font used in the title of this book to the title of early Fantastic Four comics.
  12. I guess I should've got one of these a long time ago.
  13. Last call! Now take 20% off. Thread closes at 8:00EST tonight.
  14. <--- Grand Rapids I'd offer to go check it out, but the back of my head is allergic to 2x4s.
