  1. Speaking of repros, I wore this to work a couple of times. People were like "Who the heck is that?"
  2. A great many posts here have been showing grader notes as having defects that are fixable with a press even after having gone thru CCS. To my knowledge, neither CGC nor CCS has commented.
  3. It's fairly obvious that this hologram/sig issue was going to be an problem. After all, it's been an issue for a verrry long time now with these labels. I'm kind of wondering about the qualifications people have that are involved in approving/designing these labels. Either CGC didn't see this issue coming or they just didn't care. Which is preferable? It's good that CGC is taking action, but it's bad that action needed to be taken in the first place.
  4. A long time ago, some guy told me that he completed the whole DOOM game (original PC) using nothing but his fist. Such a liar.
  5. Not one single person said, "Wait, something's not right"? Out of all the CGC employees, from the top down, nobody raised an eyebrow? There so much about this company that just makes you shake your head.
  6. Experts? Maybe not as a comic grading company, but experts at knowing what to say and what not to say. C'mon ... does anyone truly believe that these guys don't know where/how ANY of this stuff happens? This SS, shards, smudges, etc, etc. The list goes on and on ... for years! How many times has CGC said, "Yeah, this is what happened."? You know what they say instead? "Sorry 'bout that. Here's a label. Just send it back and sit around awhile while we find time to fix OUR screwup." Disgusting.
  7. Even though this phenomena is been occurring for years, CGC will not address the issue.
  8. "in the extremely rare event that a collectible is lost or damaged while at CGC’s facility..." No.
  9. Just curious... Does anyone use Fast Track Modern anymore?
  10. I see no logic at all here. None. CGC - "I'll be danged. He went for it."
  11. Of course, this Matt guy has been wrong before and someone else (Matthew?) has had to set him straight.
  12. Thanks for the link. Doesn't seem to be as prominent as I remember. I used to use USPS RM for return shipping. Maybe the value played more of a part back then.
  13. It's been a while so I may be remembering wrong, but doesn't the cost of return shipping partially based on the value you put down?
  14. If I were still submitting, I might consider getting one of those labels. Not because I like them (I don't), but there are people who do, and there's always the possibility that someone may be looking for a particular comic with one of those labels ... and be willing to pay up the ying-yang for it. It's always a good thing when people pay up the ying-yang.
  15. It's all about the almighty buck. As long as the bottom line keeps growing, they have no reason to change a thing. "Who gives a snot about them peasants submitters and their packages? As long as they keep lining our pockets, we'll take our sweetasss time opening them. Hire/train more people? PPFFFT, yeah right."
  16. Even though I usually didn't have 'Make Offer' checked, I would still get offers. I sometimes would do the same. Sometimes the offer would be accepted (by me and them).
