  1. Comiclink win. Pay no attention to the color of the label.
  2. This employee must've been on his way out. Absolutely no way this was an accident. BTW - ask yourself this, how many people did this get by?
  3. We've all wondered 'why 'since CGC implemented this stupid rule. They've repeatedly told us it's for our own good and to prevent theft, however we've not heard of a single instance where a problem that had occurred would've been prevented had this stupid rule been in place at the time. It looks like we now know 'why'. CGC has repeatedly lied to us - both on their home page and on these boards. (and not just about this) Par for the course.
  4. I'm one of those weirdos who couldn't care less about a little ct. Got this for less than 40% of a blue.
  5. I feel like I should clarify my position... There are lots of people (1,000s?) who have made buying/selling comics as the way to support their family. If this is you, I don't begrudge you one iota for trying to save every last cent. If that means using MM, cool. I hope, however, that when your customers contact you about returning the comic because of damage, you happily accept the return without giving any resistance. Myself, I have a 9 to 5 job. Selling comics does not pay my mortgage. I never use MM when sending out a comic.
  6. My thoughts... Those who wish to use MM have $$ as their #1 priority. Those who don't, have the protection of the comic as their #1 priority. There are always exceptions, but generally speaking, I think I'm right.
  7. I like Easter eggs. I like finding them. That said, I never understood the point of them. (I may have just answered my own question)
  8. I'm picking up what you're putting down, and I couldn't agree more. I believe that stupid 'tarp' statement was just to lower the torches.
  9. I seem to recall that we were told that one of the things this Saucerman guy was trying was putting some tarp-kinda-thing over their stocks of blanks to help prevent scuffs.
  10. I don't know for sure, so I might be talking out of my hole, but maybe, based on the value of the book(s), they use a higher 'tier'? I did contact Spencer to express my displeasure of the drastic increase in shipping rates a couple of months ago. From one auction to the very next one, it seemed like I was paying almost double in shipping charges. Disappointing.
  11. You can say that again. I strongly suspect, however, it is a problem that CGC has made a conscious decision not to correct. This scuffing bs has been going on for so long (years), does anyone seriously think that CGC does not know what the cause is? (If they truly don't, they are even more inept than I thought) I believe it's a far, far greater probability that CGC has decided that it'd cost too much to fix this issue and decided to deal with all the returns/MEs instead. If this is the case, is it standard business practice to continually deny that they know what the problem is ... or is it simply a lack of integrity on CGC's part?
  12. Maybe you're right. "no mention of the (unverified)signatures on either the header or in the graders notes."
  13. I am so lost. Have absolutely no idea who Frenzy or Prodigy are. And Juggy is a villain ... always has been, always will be (for me).
  14. <------ '14 (just a child)
  15. January pickups. Now that the holidays are in the rearview mirror, the collection can start to grow again. Ebay: Comiclink: Dale's sale thread:
  16. I've never, ever heard anyone say the following phrase: "My comics that I got from Comiclink have this cool sticker on the back!"
