  1. I get no email from CL, however I get an email from FedEx every time a CL package has shipped. As for when they ship ... there are variables, such as how you pay, for instance. Generally, and this is only from my personal experiences, they ship my books about 3-4 weeks after the auction ends. Notice the word 'auction'. The auction, itself, could last for days/weeks after your item's sale.
  2. @Jonnie Sohcahtoa Take a moment and ask @MattM CS to explain to you how CGC handles comics that have already been signed. I'd explain it myself, but I would hate to give you wrong info.
  3. From what I understand, they are completely different characters.
  4. Just curious... I've always known/read this. They (CGC) seem to want to make this very clear. But, I have never known what system they use for listing the books in the order they do. Is it alphabetical? Does it go by FMV? Publication date? Curious minds want to know.
  5. Hmmm, sounds like a solution to that rule that CGC has about no changes made after the fact. Of course I don't feel the rule should've been enacted in the first place, but this sounds like a good workaround ... if I still submitted.
  6. When I have a package from Clink (or anyone other than CGC, really) held at Walgreens, I always get an email stating "Your package is ready to be picked up" when they get it. Is that the same when you give Walgreens address on the CGC form?
  7. How did you get the package dropped off at Walgreens? Did you have to call CGC?
  8. Might be just ignorance on my part, but I can't figure out how disallowing holds "ensures packages are received by the intended recipient". Please explain.
  9. I wonder what they'd say if you simply sent it in for a reholder? Think it'd be, "we f'd up" or do you think it'd be, "it got damaged during shipping"?
  10. I can't tell for sure, but did they seal right over the book?
  11. This whole statement is 100% true. It's also very sad that it's 100% true.
  12. I feel your pain. At least half of those emails I get from my saved searches show me stuff that I have no interest in. I know I'm missing out on books that I want because I skip over so many of those emails thinking "They're just going to show me crap again".
  13. Back when I was submitting, I used to get boxes of 25 slabs waiting for me at the PO (I used USPS). When I picked them up, the the older ladies who worked there always hated seeing me walk in. That meant they would have to go get that heavy box. They,re probably happy they haven't seen me in a while.
  14. "On July 25, 1956, Roberto Clemente became the only MLB player to hit a walk-off inside-the-park grand slam in a 9–8 Pittsburgh Pirates win over the Chicago Cubs, at Forbes Field."
  15. I've done lots of reholders because I wanted a newer case/label. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the slab. Why would the comic need to be inspected?
  16. Makes you wonder how these 'phantom flaws' are getting thru multiple graders. If the grader notes say finger bends, does that mean all the graders saw them? This procedure would be most welcomed: The head grader (or other knowledgeable employee) takes a random comic that has already been graded but not encapsulated. Gathers any and all notes by all graders of the comic. Goes over the comic while looking at the recorded notes by all graders. Another question (which may be a no-brainer to some): Using the verification number, can CGC determine who graded the comic?
  17. Maybe CGC needs to revisit the decision to include an invoice with every submission sent back?
