  1. I don't know, but it seems like it would be so easy to stop this. I just don't understand how these guys (CGC), after years of these shards getting into slabs, continue to let it happen.
  2. 6 years worth? That's one large stockpile.
  3. The only reasonable explanation, that I can see, is if it was sent to the auction house raw and then they sent it in to be graded. That would've given them the opportunity to check the insides. Unless there's a way to tell by looking at the cover, this is the only reasonable explanation.
  4. I started rewatching House from the beginning. Such a dick.
  5. At least their BS statements were good for one thing. They proved that CGC knew exactly what they were before they graded encapsulated them.
  6. Yeah, 2 of the last 4 were negs ... both for the same thing, "never received item". I think I'll just walk.Too many ?s.
  7. Sorry about the quoting. I should've scrolled back up to find the exact wording. About the criteria ... I kinda gathered from your post that, even though we don't know the specifics, it's all about the grade it's in (as in, if it grades at a certain point or lower, it gets a blue). Is that correct? I was thinking that that was probably the case, but there was a possibility of it being something else ... like the size of the sig or something. Am I correct in assuming the grader makes his/her decision on label color based on the grade, but nobody here knows what that grade is? And in this particular case, the comic that received a blue label, would've received a lower grade than the rest if they were all sigless. <-- yeah, I just made that word up
  8. Yep, that's it. Just checked his feedback, nothing more recent than "more than a year ago".
  9. Must've mixed it up with the FF 52 because that's not shown.
  10. Not sure if you're serious or not, but that actually makes a lot of sense. I can't help picturing a supervisor standing behind the employee holding a stopwatch. My point is that the person who made the decision to NOT regrade these might have just been following orders. Speed over quality. Usually not a good thing.
  11. What's it mean when you look at an item's seller and their number of feedback is shown but not a percentage? Like this...
  12. I think CGC's lack of response, and Black Flag hiding behind banners at Boston pretty much say the same thing.
  13. I'm pretty sure I have a EST from October of last year. Not sure. Haven't checked. It was too damn stressful when they (CGC) had my last EST sub for 14 months. I've decided that I'll get them when i get them. They're not getting anymore of my business, so I'm not stressing over it anymore.
  14. I agree with your doubts. If these books were a straight sub and not a reholder, they probably wouldn't have gotten 9.8s.
  15. Do all businesses lie to their customers about their mistakes and poor choices? Also, I am 100% a fan of their product. I abhor the company.
  16. I'd be interested to know the outcome. Please post them.
  17. I agree that there is absolutely no question that CGC sold grades. A statement is not needed, however, because if they offer any other explanation it would be complete crap. (just like all the other statements we've been given)
  18. We're in a thread devoted to how CGC implemented practices that were practiced by this other company since the birth of Christ. There's always hope.
  19. Correct. I can fill out 100 forms and never send in any books, but CGC won't recognize any of them until any books arrive. Don't worry about being charged either ... they won't do that until they have your books.
  20. It'd be nice if CGC admitted to selling grades, but it really isn't necessary. It's 100% obvious to everyone, and I mean everyone, that they did.
  21. I like it ... sounds kinda dirty.
  22. I'll tell you why... "Well that is better, better, better, you bet " "Great change. No complaints at all. " "Fantastic news! " "This is a good step. " "Finally! This is awesome news! " "Thank you! Really positive news! " and so on and so on They get pats on the back for doing next to nothing.
