  1. I know, I know, this is a question best suited for the "Ask CGC' forum. But it's really not that urgent (I'm just curious) and seeing as how it's the weekend and all... Let's say you submit a bunch of books and a couple get rejected. Does the reason for the rejection dictate whether or not you get charged? Let's say they get rejected for explicit gore/sex. I'm assuming that the graders make this decision and they won't even grade the books. Am I still charged? Let's say they're rejected for too much overhang. Can I assume this is not a decision that the graders make, but rather the encapsulater. I'm guessing they've already been graded by the time they're rejected. Am I still charged? Am I charged for all rejects, regardless of why?
  2. What the...? @Jennifer F.Why/How wouldn't the grade be entered?
  3. Paid around $5 for it back in The Wonder Years. Finally slabbed it.
  4. I was awestruck when I saw Chris Angel hoover. Still don't know how he does it. Has to be wires.
  5. I think what may be confusing for newer members is that the TATs are in business days ... not calendar days.
  6. So the listing stated it was restored (albeit in the fine print) yet the seller priced it as an unrestored book. I wonder if any of his other listings share the same level of aggressive pricing?
  7. So, why did he delete the listing? Or didn't he?
  8. Did you ask him why he took the time to delete the listing?
  9. Do businesses, particularly businesses like CGC, have any sort of accountability practices in place for their employees?
  10. Long story short... Water pipe broke while I was at work. Came home to the kitchen flooded. Went downstairs to shut off the water. It was 'raining' due to the flood upstairs. Boxes of comics were like wet toilet paper. Had been out of comics for many years so had no idea of any values. Saved most ('saved' not being the best word), but threw one box away, due to all the comics were oversized and the box had no top. In the box were 2 copies of TMNT #! I had purchased off the shelf. Later found out what they were worth ... doctors blamed heart attack on cholesterol, but I know better.
  11. I was going to say that these days there's really no rhyme or reason to it, but after thinking about it some more, I think it's more dependent on whether or not they are being promoted. Simply mentioning them appears to be ok.
  12. C'mon Bro, give him a break. It's a gift for his mom. AnyWho just adding my

  18. This whole thing really doesn't bother me. But a possible answer to @mattn792's question, "Where's the upside?" It might not be so much a matter of CGC garnering any upside, but rather keeping the competition from getting any.
