  1. I'm not so sure about this. @CGC Mike is checking on the answer to the question I asked him.
  2. Just to be clear... Let's say you spent $10,000 on a 9.8 comic. It turns out that it's on the list, so you send it in to be evaluated. CGC decides that it indeed has been switched/tampered and it is actually a 9.4. CGC will keep the book and compensate the owner of the book the FMV of a 9.4?
  3. Agreed. The question that CGC is NOT asking themselves is "How can we correct this problem?" The question that they ARE asking themselves is "How can we correct this problem as cheaply as possible?"
  4. Some random kid kung-fu kicked me off my bike once as I was pedalling to the LCS. That was cray-cray!
  5. And just like that ... it goes on the Want List.
  6. I think a response by CGC is warranted here. Even a simple "We're looking into it" would be sufficient.
  7. Probably not something the public is capable of doing, but couldn't CGC look up the previous reholder submissions of a person to see if a similar copy of a questionable comic has been reholdered under this person's account?
  8. Limited funds this year, so nothing super dooper... Compromise. Purple label for a full 'M'. One of my few CPR successes. Dipping my toe into Golden Age.
  9. I don't think I was born in the correct era. It just seems wrong that if someone steals property worth $1000s of dollars, you risk going to jail if you go to his home to demand your property back.
  10. One thing I've always despised when doing business, whether it's comics or anything else, is poor communication.
