  1. The raw Don Rosas come with COAs, so I don't see why CGC wouldn't put a designation on the label.
  2. Note the slab design...doesn't look like you could get slab damage on that one. Anyone know why CGC changed the design?
  3. I picked up a Brave & the Bold #4, #13, #18, #21, and #23. This one was the nicest of the group. I was this close [ ] to buying a nice VG+ copy of Brave & the Bold #1 (looked FN from front cover, but had a couple of small edge tears on the back cover that knocked it down), but the seller wouldn't take a credit card and I didn't have enough cash on me. Sweet. I really like the B&B and Showcase runs...there's just something about the variety and try-out runs that I think are really cool. I can't wait to see the books in person.
  4. Nice!! What were the other books you picked up? It's great to see that you've finally matured into a DC collector, rather than a Marvel zombie.
  5. Maybe the Robot stole his face! I haven't had a chance to read the book yet, but am looking forward to it.
  6. Here's a recent pickup...I really like this robot cover. Really nice book, except for the bottom and right edges. Also, there might be a tear seal near Wonder Woman. Not sure if this is a keeper or not.
  7. What resolution are your scans? If they're 300 dpi, then try to resize the scan down to 2 inches wide or so. Hopefully, that'll get you below the Photobucket 250k limit. BassGMan's suggestion is good, although then limit as an attachment is 150k. I pay the $20 a year for the photobucket premium service, and that way, the scans aren't resized. I save the scans with photoshop at a quality of 8, and they're often about 350k. Here's a sample: Hope this helps.
  8. YOu want to explain for us ? I find the Detective run particularly interesting.
  9. Great pictures, and I'd love to see more.
  10. I don't recall seeing any of the Disney or Gladsone books at San Diego. It might be that there was only so much space for the collection, or perhaps I missed them.
  11. That was yours? I didn't even know! You graded that book spot-on by the way. VF/VF+, exactly as I would have done. I should have known it was a forum member... Nice book! At some point, I need to go through and see what issues I still need for the HOM and HOS runs. I know I need that issue, though. Got a wantlist...Mr. J. K. Li? I'm pretty well done and ready to sell my multiples. Thanks. You'll be getting a PM when I have the list ready.

  13. Anyone want two of the three San Diego Comic-Con promos? I've put them up on eBay in an auction, but if a forumite wants them, let me know and I'll cancel the auction (as long as there are no bids):
  14. I have two, both without. Maybe it's a geographic distribution thing? East cost = pink box. West coast = no pink box.
  15. all lies. It's true. I met him in San Diego, and he's a [embarrasing lack of self control].
  16. I'm not sure how rare/scarce the Eerie #1 is. It pops up on eBay every so often, and in San Diego, there were two raw copies. But, there were four or five Suspense #3 there, so who knows.
  17. Pov -- A fantastic group of books, and books that look better in person, even if seen in low light under the influence of alcohol. This one is my favorite of the haul, but I'd love to have most of them.
  18. Congratulations!! I'm happy that your quest is now complete. Kudos to Scott (FFB) and Harley for being able to find the last elusive comic!
  19. No problem, Alberto. He was very quick to get me a money order, even from across the country.
  20. Yep. $12 and change plus shipping for 4 HOMs , unfortunately with this one being the only horror one. I'll try flipping the other books; the #172 and #173 are also pretty nice.
  21. Finally took the plunge on eBay...small scan, bad description. Luckily, it turned out better than expected.
  22. The seller referenced this Kaluta sale when mentioning his price expectations: Kaluta Cover on Heritage I guess it's a really fair price. That cover is from 1984, and is Bold Adventures #3 from Pacific Comics. Kaluta's Shadow pages have sold on Heritage for $1500-$3500. Now, where did I put that $5k I had lying around?
