  1. Ryp tends to illustrate books with a lot of violence. First became aware of him when he did Black Summer for Avatar.
  2. It makes sense in a hot market that you're not going to find keys at a decent price. If you do find keys, the price which might seem expensive now may seem like a bargain in a few years.
  3. It's kinda baffling that this issue sells for what it does while his Batman Year Two issues sell for a fraction of the price.
  4. *If* Chasm becomes a bigger villain, it will probably still take some time for prices to take off, since so many people in today's market will already have one.
  5. It's kinda funny, don't you think, that the print run of the VVSS and gold edition books were "limited' to 5500 or so copies, and the current sales figures indicate that those books are more abundant than the new releases. If DMG ever sells to a company that will actually do something with the property, and key issues in the current books are going to end up mighty desirable.
  6. Only it clearly doesn't appear in the story. It's after it.
  7. Precisely this. I don't care if it appears on a page with the story, he's clearly not part of the story in any way. It's a visual being used in a blurb for the next issue. It's an ad.
  8. The big delay is with pressing. I have submissions from when they raised prices LAST APRIL that are still waiting at CCS. Once they get through there they fly through pretty quick. They may have hired graders, but qualified pressers are more difficult, I suppose.
  9. Or better yet, list as "Hulk 20 (Spanish edition of Incredible Hulk 449)" (Since the actual issue number of the item isn't in the title)
  10. nwak86 Another zero-feedback non-paying bidder.
  11. I just read the synopsis of that issue. Considering it introduces an alternate timeline Spider-man, that sounds like a hold for now.
  12. Some of my items are pre-order books in Valiant bundles, which show as having no cost, because you pay for the bundles up front.
  13. I have books on my "Unshipped Items" list from 2016, 2017, and 2019 still.
  14. If you mean the new series, I imagine that anyone that wants one already ordered a handful. The Exiles issue that has her pick up the shield may get a bump.
  15. Especially back in the days when I was a teenager and couldn't afford the originals, and had no other way of reading them
  16. I'm surprised that you don't see more of the Art Adams covers selling for more. Some of his interpretations (especially the first Phoenix cover) are improvements on the originals IMO.
  17. The buyer lives in my neighborhood. I should drop by and ask if they're aware that their personal info was shared like this.
  18. Astro City is amazing. Is a great deconstruction of super-hero tropes. If/when that ever gets adapted for the screen, there are tons of key issues; so many first appearances.
  19. I started collecting comics a few years after these came out. It took me a *really* long time to notice how brilliant the cover for 337 was, from a branding perspective. 337 still features the logo that was in use since "THOR" became part of the title logo way back in JiM 104 in 1964. But Beta Ray Bill smashes it apart, entailing the need for a new logo in the following issue. There are plenty of examples of the broken logo over the years (X-Men 135 perhaps being the most famous example), but I can't think of another example where the breaking of the logo rendered it unusable on the following issue.
