I think I've found the solution. I've been hearing a lot of buzz for this storyline lately, and I could make it easy for people to have the full set ready for them to go in one transaction. Pay once, get the full story, doesn't get any better than that. No contacting different stores, "oh do you have part 4, oh great, oh but no part 5, damn", and all that. I'll be your one-stop shop.

So please, next time you hear people talking about Extreme Destroyer, point them my way.

Toonces, the cat who invested in comics.

Alot of War and Warlord requests I could not meet. Oddball requests for Howard the Duck and Squirrel Girl. Sold several Lobo and Savage Dragon singles in the 100s/200s for Dragon. Sold a few Hack Slash which surprised me.

Is that the DC Warlord character, or something else?

I think the random requests just shows that there are still people out there trying to complete runs of whatever it is that appeals to them.

    SOMETHING NEW  (not resurrected (:)

When Title Logos and Cover Elements go KERFLOOEY!... or something interesting is done graphically, etc.

I just realized this a few years ago (it maybe would have been more obvious if I had been collecting at the time, but I didn't start reading comics until a few years later), but on this cover, BRB destroys the decades-old logo, necessitating the implementation of a new logo on the cover of the next issue. I don't know if there are other examples of that.

Love the original ASM logo when it's adorned on a marquee, billboard, or made into a neon sign; reminds me of what could've been when Spidey was a stage performer, which we all know was cut VERY short due to his tragic mistake of not detaining a fleeing burglar after his stage act...but now shows the testament how famous Spidey is in our reality...

We reached out to this person to see if we could get the book returned to us, so we could fix the label.

Since you're aware that the book is out there with an incorrect label, would CGC consider not only removing the pedigree info from the database (which you've done), but also including some sort of notation that the label is wrong, so it's clear to someone looking it up what the situation is (since CGC can't force the return of the book)?

  6. I sent in a batch of 25 books in May. When I got them back, I had to send 10 back for ME. All of them had cracks in one side of the case, in the same spot, suggesting there was some sort of mechanical issue with their encapsulator that was perhaps applying too much pressure? All of these except one was an oversized book, with the thicker case. 40% failure rate on this submission.

When I got back the ME submission, 8 of those 10 had various issues, including different cracks, or debris encapsulated with the book. 80% failure rate on those books.

When I got back the second ME submission, 4 of the 8 had some severe scuffing on the case, and another was cracked. I usually let a little scuffing go, but these were 9.8 books, and the scuffing made it look like the book was damaged or dirty. 62.5% failure rate on those.

Just got back those 5. 3 of the 5 have plastic shards inside. One of those shard is more than an inch long. Not sure how you miss those. So those will be going back. 60% failure rate.

If the trend holds. I'll need to send 2 of the 3 books back again, and then 1 of those 2 the next time. Then I guess it's a coin flip whether that one has no issues.

As the conventions wrap up for the year I’m wondering if there is justification, from a value standpoint, on acquiring con exclusive books.

There is always FOMO, which low print runs and hype builds up, but looking back have values justified the purchases?

The 90’s childhood collector in me was sucked in by this year’s NYCC foil releases of Batman, Transformers, Swamp Thing and HOS 92.

    Any good examples?

Rarely. If you bought the NYCC Exclusive of the Enormous #1 (Second print) and got it graded at 9.8, you could have flipped that for about $500. (Not so much now, since the option fell through.)

Convention exclusives that were panel giveaways can be worth money. The Black Panther Campbell partial sketch variant was a convention exclusive giveaway. And I just got this at NYCC this year: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=spawn+universe+sampler&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1

The bright spot on his nose always seemed exaggerated to me and sticks out like a sore thumb. Probably not an “error” so to speak but I think a professional colorist would be able to handle a depiction of lighting/glare on the face a little better around the entire face than just that one light spot on his nose

That contrast *might* just be a limitation of the coloring production process pre-computer coloring.

Is there something I'm missing about the color? His right arm above the elbow looks like it's bent into two segments, and the left one looks too long, but I figured since this is a thread about coloring, it's not the anatomy that's the reason for posting this.

I have not been  notified of any changes in our shipping policy.  Some suggestions have been posted in the thread.  Possibly have your submissions shipped to Walgreens, or try to arrange with FedEx to allow you to pick them up at a FedEx facility.

This isn't really a solution for people who live in cities and don't own a car. It's enough of a pain when I need to walk to FedEx with a 10-book ME delivery; Trying to walk a mile back with a 25-book shipment isn't going to happen.

    Greetings and Salutations fellow collectors!

About good ol' Fedex. I run a logistics company. I do not offer Fedex for my clients. USPS and UPS. They have their faults for sure, but FedEx, I'll just say I don't use them. From my understanding Fedex Ground(which I believe is CGC's preferred shipping method) are sub-contractors. They have defined areas and distribute packages for FedEx. They are not FedEx employees. Like other businesses they have difficulty finding workers, and when they do, if they are good at the job or not, is another issue.

That being said, several times I've had packages scheduled for delivery on a certain date. More times than not, they do not make it. The reason is, Business is closed or unavailable. ITS A LIE. Either thy don't have enough help to make the run, not enough time to complete without having to pay more $(Overtime), or not enough packages going that way to make the trip profitable.  So to keep the bosses at FedEx happy and to meet delivery requirements, they say business is closed or unavailable. Covers their . Satisfies some metric. I get it, but it's still %#^%#.

CGC's policy is sound and reasonable. I choose to use FedEx(default) as to providing my own UPS shipper information because I had to do some other verification and I was in a hurry and too lazy. My Bad. I'll take care of this before my next submission. Other collectors may not have this option.

Regardless, no matter what carrier, if you are not using a shipping method/carrier with guaranteed delivery, it's going to happen. Like when u go to the drive thru and they ask you to pull around because you can't wait at the drive thru because they have to keep up to some kind of false metric. But I digress.

Yep. That happened with my delivery this week. I work from home and was here the whole time. On days when I'm expecting a package, I'll occasionally refresh the tracking, because half the time they'll just drop packages in the lobby of my building and I wan't to make sure I get them if the tracking indicates that the item has been delivered. But this week, I refreshed the tracking and they claim an attempt was made about 10 minutes prior. There's no way I wasn't going to hear my bell if they tried that. I called the FedEx phone number and complained. The rep kept apologizing, but I kept repsonding that I wasn't interested in an apology, I wanted an explanation as to why that happened. They always say that they'll investigate to ensure it doesn't happen again, but it keeps on happening.

Mine was finally delivered yesterday. Wife caught him walking away from out door and had just left it there without a signature. Nice work, FedEx.

This happens with about half of my CGC deliveries. I call and complain every time, and always get the same "We'll make sure it doesn't happen again" BS.

There’s so much going on with the cape that the little spot of moonlight was probably overlooked with the vertigo I could imagine being induced by all the jagged line work

Yeah, since this is a thread about color, I guess that's the error we're meant to spot, and not that there's no good reason that the right side of his cape is in the air, considering that his right hand is around her shoulder. (I looked for the meme/diagram explaining this, but couldn't quickly find it.)
