This thing is just bonkers. So they can take as long as they want and just say this was the best we can do. If these rules would hold up he can literally just keep your books forever and hope you cancel at some point and then just keep your money. The really awesome part is he can cancel the contract at any point in time and be able to deduct costs incurred. I'm sure someone can point out this is all just legal talk, but I can't see it as anything but unethical.

So what are the terms of agreement as far as refunds go?

Its a all a moot point if he doesn't sell or buy on the boards. He won't care.

So if all these books have been there for over 5 years who exactly has been getting books finished/returned the last 5 years? People who submitted before that?

That all sounds great, except in this very thread someone was charged shipping with the reason given the box was opened after the 14 day window if I'm not mistaken.

He actually has (or had) a few people trying to defend him. I'm not so sure any more.

Well, this is certainly going in the wrong direction. But not surprising based off of what we have already heard.

Let's be real. There were a series of really bad decisions made by hero. Does it suck he has had a bunch of problems? Absolutely. And I doubt anyone doesn't have sympathy for having a heart attack. But having a bunch of bad luck does not somehow negate his bad decisions.

@CGC Mike This seems like a massive problem. What is the clock on the 14 days exactly? When you fill out the form online? When the box is received? When the box is opened?

They weren't anticipating such keen eyes noticing this almost imperceptible flaw.

Any money he is collecting now is almost certainly ponzi scheme activity in hopes of making older customers satisfied. Sounds like people are going to be very unhappy for years to come.

Come on man. Telling someone over and over you are packing up their books is lying. People are posting they are getting books back that don't appear to have even been worked on. You don't think he stole their money? Let me guess. That is just being so unorganized he doesn't remember which books he worked on. He didn't do it on purpose, right? You say you have seen no evidence of actual theft. Why would you see it? Are you so embedded in his business that you would know that?

From what we know he is a liar and a thief. Unless you are calling others in this thread liars. None of what you said makes any difference. He has stolen books. Big deal you know him. That means absolutely nothing. Everyone goes through hard times. Does that mean you lie multiple times to people telling them your book is getting packed up and shipped? He has had that AF15 for YEARS. You think that is OK?

At least you have that in writing from him. I'm guessing that won't help his case.

So push it. Tell him that you will in fact be filing charges if you don't get your books back immediately.
