  1. I meant sitting around the house in the waiting line. Obviously you should protect your comics however you see fit, but most people don't put them all in toploaders. Bags and boards should be enough if you are storing them properly. It can get expensive to put them all in toploaders. Just my 2 cents.
  2. No. The grades are reflective of the condition they're in. But they all have terrible grades because of the defect created before they reached the grading room. I just want people to know that the grade can be improved. However, I have updated my listings to simply say that they are unpressed. BTW, they all should've been 9.6's and 9.8's; instead I have garbage: 8.5's, 9.0, 9.2's, 9.4's etc. I will backtrack on my first comment. I also was a bit confused and thought you were saying they were over graded in their current condition. I would still make sure the defects are clearly visible in the pictures just to avoid any headaches down the road.
  3. I was trying to line up a buyer for my kidney. Maybe next time.
  4. Yep. List the defects and post clear pictures of them. You aren't Nostradamus. Don't try and predict the future. What you can't do is not mention them. That makes you a d bag.
  5. Except you would have to crack it out of the slab to prove it.
  6. Ran across this gem on ebay. This is the pic they posted of the back of the comic.
  7. Fingers crossed... Club approval is dependent on having the book in hand.
  8. Ridiculous. Here is a 5 dollar lot that will cost ten times that to ship and we will keep that a secret. This is the ultimate cutting off your nose to spite your face moment on their part.
  9. How would people compare this risk wise to just buying a 15K book and the seller only accepting check/bank transfer? That's certainly not the end of the pool I swim in, but seems like it would be similar.
  10. That is just weird. If that was a best offer can we tell what the auction started at?
  11. @CGC Mike It would be nice to get some kind of response from CGC about label errors. There are so many examples at this point and on recent books. Is CGC aware this is happening? Are they making any effort to fix this?
  12. This feels like a really good deal when you look at what similar has sold for. People must have been sleeping on this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185302087058?hash=item2b24dd7592%3Ag%3A7I0AAOSw6zViD9yl&nma=true&si=nEHhQ%2Bdx2URtVPRQ8BKSRFZKzR8%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  13. I was just reading an interesting story about this cover. It seems that it was originally going to be the cover for Vampi #1, but they ultimately decided it wasn't good enough/the right one/whatever and that's when they went to Frazetta.
  14. If you aren't looking for a high grade copy plenty pop up for sale on ebay way cheaper.
  15. Any update? I was hoping this public thread would motivate the presser into action.
  16. Maybe its just me, but this is very confusing. What happened?
  17. I just don't understand this at all. What is getting updated if they don't have the package?
  18. greggy jr. is right for a change. Have him replace the books in grade. It would be really hard for the presser to decline that offer without looking horrible. What can he say? Its too much money?
  19. At this point, if he continues to send any more books to this person, he should have his head examined. Exactly. Anyone would would send books to this person again after how this went down would deserve whatever happened to them.
