  6. I thought this one I picked up recently in a dollar bin was interesting:
  7. I was envisioning the same thing, but I'm going to go and hopefully get home before the icing gets too bad.

  9. Received a fantastic Vampire Tales Annual from Patrick, fantastic book, everything perfect. Thanks!
  10. Pulled this out of a dollar box today, the front cover is just barely hanging on, but still glad to have it for a buck:
  11. I'm entertained by the live auctions on Facebook. A shop that is fairly local to me has live auctions and I am amazed at the prices they get for books which I consider drek. They do also have some good books, but they get sky high prices for them, as well. I know when I talked to the shop owner they mentioned that they seem to get people late at night who have been drinking bidding high on their auctions, but they seem to honor their bids mostly. This particular shop does a good job of keeping the auctions fun and creating almost a sense of community with the people who "tune in" to their live broadcasts, so I think that plays into it, but man, some of the prices they are getting for junk books is just mind blowing!
  12. great signed books, everything was fantastic. Thanks!
  13. The seller I bought it from labeled it as being from Argentina, but in the indicia, you can see that it was published in Spain. However, also printed inside is the information about the importer from Argentina. I would have thought something like that might have been stamped inside (like the stamp on the front cover), but it is printed inside. Weird. Figured this will be the closest I ever come to owning a Vampirella #1.
  14. Christmas gift to myself, not in the greatest shape, but complete.
  15. According to the Carol Danvers Wikipedia page, Danvers lost the Binary powers after Operation: Galactic Storm. In the wikipedia entry for the Infinity story, it says Danvers "temporarily regained her binary powers as she drew near a black hole." Doesn't sound like something worth paying much for.
  16. Probably no one cares but me, but I found a Prudence & Caution #2 Spanish Language Edition in a dollar box today. Very hard to find book with a small print run, and the only way to tell it's the Spanish edition is to open the book, as there is no indicator on the outside cover.
  17. Defenders story arc "The Six-Fingered Hand" (Defenders #94-100) is a favorite of mine. Don Perlin created some very grotesque images in those books, especially the "Hell on Earth" stuff.
