  1. Curious about other's thoughts on how high issues like #121, 122, 124 and 129 will climb up.
  2. Hmmm...maybe these rare variants should just be released with a back issue price from the outset. "Deadpool # - 1, limited to 15 copies, selling for $15K each. Released on Marvel site tonight!" At least it would be clear from the outset...
  3. I'm really glad someone else has mentioned this. Those with the right gems AND patience will eventually be cashed up (and even then I'll put back some of those $$$ into another long-term asset).
  4. Does any kind soul know who owns this gem?
  5. Well said. Strange Tales #178 features an impressive recap of the character's history by Jim Starlin. It is obvious that the FF #67 and Thor #163 - 166 Lee stories feature the very bland Him, and that Adam Warlock did not appear until Marvel Premiere #1, when the character was reinvented as a messiah-like figure by Roy Thomas. The High Evolutionary also rechristens Him as Adam Warlock in MP #1.
  6. Well said. The first thing that struck me was why the item (if a true 9.8) wasn't in a slab. A better question might be why he hasn't been banned from Ebay?
  7. I am curious about this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/165129008209?hash=item267274b451:g:NBsAAOSw0fpe~3X7 9.8? Just like that? Has it been pressed? This seller seems to have a few such items...🤔
  8. Hmmm...I think ruined buildings or a even a night sky would have been better. My point of contention is the childish caption. "The End..." would have encapsulated things perfectly.
  9. Hmmm...odd. The logistics are obviously too much for the USPS. Thanks for the heads up.
  10. I'm based in Australia and have sent/received multiple items to/from the US since COVID started. At times there is the occasional delay, but no suspension of service.
  11. This one is interesting. I have all the MK variants except this one. About 3 months ago a 9.8 appeared on Ebay, but oddly it was for auction, with a starting price of 5K. I contacted the seller but oddly (again) they weren't interested in an outright offer. I checked back a few days later, and the item had apparently sold for said price with only one bid. I think it entirely possible it was simply an attempt to push the price up.
  12. Price $950. $70 shipping. Well protected. Paypal only. No returns. Happy to field offers.
  13. This one is something of an anomaly. It really has been overlooked and left on the shelf for some time. I'm waiting for the eventual reappearance of the 9.9, which still sold for $40K well before there was ever a MCU.
  14. A rare 9.8 of the classic one-shot that preceded the eponymous heroes titles by one month. This issue is now 54 years old and a true gem, featuring work by Archie Goodwin, Roy Thomas and Gene Colan. Asking price is $12500. $70 for expedited shipping. Paypal only. No returns. First person to use the wins. Happy to field questions.
  15. Tough if limited to 10, but... Citizen Kane (1941) Casablanca (1943) Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) Rear Window (1954) Twelve Angry Men (1957) Lawrence of Arabia (1962) To Kill A Mockingbird (1962) Once Upon A Time In The West (1968) The Godfather (1972) Chinatown (1974) these are all significantly better than the populist blockbusters of modern times.
  16. Price $950. $70 shipping. Well protected. Paypal only. No returns. First person to post wins. Get in before the Moon Knight wave.
  17. Ah, someone is paying attention. If you can understand the psychology, there is money to be made.
