  1. If you stay in shape and keep a good figure there are ways of making up the difference.
  2. Agree the new label is cool. Nice 9.0 coming up at CL https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH.ASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dfantasy%2B15%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item_1457476&id=1457476&itemType=0h
  3. Got an email from HA this morning, proves I am not going crazy just yet. Per @batman_fan HA may be sending Danny to his house today. I don't expect him to honor the original buy price but appreciate that they responded letting me know the process was not being honored correctly by the seller.
  4. Well I got an email from Heritage this Morning. Probably will not attempt the buy it now feature in the future with some understanding now of how it works. HA stated the seller rejected my offer(was the buy it now amount of 8k) and did not want to counter etc. Now the same item has a buy it now amount of $9242. With sales tax at 8K it was over market already, at 10K it is definitely not a smart buy for me at least, considering the scan is boosted as well. You can see it listed in this screen shot, X-Men 1 3.5, even still has the buy now amount of 8K before you click into it.
  5. Works for me! My luck would be another book comes up and I pass thinking this one is done.
  6. Great looking books, than GSX-1 is tempting, I have pretty much sworn off ebay now on anything over 1K due to them charging tax so am thankful you gave us a shot prior.
  7. I thought so. I will call them tomorrow, not the end of the world but this was the email I got. I wonder if that means someone else did the buy now and I am holding a back up offer.
  8. Wow thanks Lou. I am not that aggressive but see the example below. This is similar to what I was describing. Does 9500 buy it? I did the buy it on another book and did not hear back.
  9. On Heritage, Has anyone actually bought anything from the "Green" Buy now offer? Or sold? I submitted one for the amount listed and never heard a thing. I noticed a few have a disclaimer like this "The owner of this item indicated they would sell this item at this amount on Jan 1, 2021, and it may no longer be available at that amount." Does that mean someone else likely hit the green buy now button? I emailed HA and did not hear back but had a few offers on the table.
  10. I view that book as C/OW is far better than chipping or washed out Spidey. All other SA books C/OW usually brings much thought prior to buying.
  11. An hour in and at 20K already.I am sure a few people still have tracking bids to place on it.
  12. Super fast (even when everything else is taking weeks to arrive), bullet proof packing and just all around great person to deal with, thanks @Northwest
  13. Sure, I have since moved the boards into the Comic/Toy room. The comics on the wall are just a few Gi Joe Comics pinned to the wall. The car is what is considered a Backdated Porsche 911. It is a 1980 Porsche 911 but has all 1973 parts on it, I had several air cooled Porsches at one time and this one my son and I built so it is a keeper.
  14. I personally prefer the presentation, No chipping even if the paper hasn't came off yet, and good color strike. I would take a 1.0 over a 5.0 in regards to that.
  15. I agree, to me the Red's make that book.
  16. For 2021 I will most likely sell off all duplicate GI Joe's (have somehow accumulated 8 Mickey Mouse Cobra Commanders) and focus more on Prototypes. This was a highlight for this past year, Unproduced Dr. Mindbender Hard Copy.
  17. Can we get a close up of the top right edge? From Beast's hands up? Red's look nice!
  18. Like a chess game. the M3 has to come out first, then the rest come out. Can't gain weight either so is good for discipline.
  19. It was an older Ferrari, much like comics there were requirements like Gated shifted Solid roof etc although I have no desire to own one past a F355 personally. But the car is wedged in between the other two in the Garage. The ASM 1 was the lowest graded at a 5.0 the rest were 7ish and up. It may not exactly buy two, but I would suspect that run is worth 30% more at least now.
  20. Not to get too off topic, I collect cars along with about 15 other vices and always wanted a Ferrari, I have always kept hobby moneys separated, so I decided to sell my ASM 1-100 run to pay for the Ferrari. No regrets, love the car and the Comic collection showed major appreciation due to how and when it was bought. Today though, I could buy two Ferrari's for the money that 1-100 run would garner now. The Car has gained in value but nothing like the comics. So enjoy what you like and if a move brings something in you love, do it. Phillip
  21. That is good advice, there have been times where I was looking for a semi key then it blows up and I am left thinking, should I jump in now or wait for it to die down, most of the time the leveling off is still higher than when the books started to peak. When I was putting my ASM run together the first appearances were killing me due to movie releases. Golden Age on the other hand I am usually buying steady and there is not usually the peaks like SA.
  22. Anyone on here snag that 2.5 off of Clink last night. I put in a respectable offer, got a counter offer I was about to pull the trigger on then it vanished. If the seller is on here shoot me a PM.
