When Heritage had these no one mentioned them on here until right at the end of the auctions and I am not sure there was any social media awareness. Could be that Mark felt they could have been marketed better. Based on what I have seen here and social media that has happened, now we will see if it has better sales impact. I for one was happy the first run was under the radar.

Take these please

The Nephew submitted them, Heritage had a write up in their catalogs in the September auctions last year. I am surprised HA did not get one of the "big" books in with the run they had. I was bidding on a few and the prices were above what I expected them to go for. The coverless copies had Steve written on them based on the pictures but the other books had no notes of names written on the inside.

There were several, I won issue 27 that I posted. The bidding was pretty intense on them. ASM 16 6.5 sold for $2760 ASM 31 6.5 sold for $4560 ASM 6 3.5 Sold for $3120 ASM 33 7.0 sold for $8400 Just to give you an idea.

I am not exactly sure but Heritage handled the first round of them. Based on how high those went, These will be well above market.

If you have owned those books you have for a while they have appreciated at a higher rate than the FF1 so personally I would do it. FF1 has been pretty steady during all the craziness but it is not nearly as easy to find as your other books and it only takes a few people looking at once to drive up prices. Plus you can get in at today's price and look to upgrade. It is a great run to put together, so many great characters and villains.

But do you actually talk about them or the auctions they are in?

closed, so i can start a cool g.a. sales thread

Ugh! Dang forecasting meetings! -
Payment accepted for this one will be check or money order or cash in person. Have plenty of high value transactions both as a buyer and seller so can provide references as needed, feedback thread below. Usually no returns on graded books but always willing to talk if something is misrepresented. First Book. Super nice copy that presents extremely well for the grade. Super high gloss and classic Schomburg Art. All New Comics #9 CGC 4.5 OW/W pages that was just graded (take that with the presents extremely well comment above). Asking $1000 shipped in the CONUS

Market correction , will we see any effect on comics?
PKJ replied to WolverineX's topic in Comics General
Hate that for you. As a buyer I have bought Conan 1's in the last three CL auctions due to the prices. -
Last year I decided to get the raw copies graded, shipped them off in April and they just got back. Issue 1 was a single copy buy but the others came from original owner collections.

Love the art and an underrated run going back to Strange Tales. I have been working on upgrading my raw copies to a graded set the past year.2 of my favorite covers below.

X I was looking to upgrade my X-men 1 during that time and watched/bid in auctions that wound up pushing me away from even trying. It and a few other books were just racing so high too quickly and made me wonder if the new money had ever been to a show. 3-4 years ago X-men 1 was easily found at several dealers table in multiple grades, even on the last day. I sold a dozen or so Mantle graded cards and the prices paid were astonishing. I have been looking for a Jordan rookie card and have noticed those and the cards I sold have had a sharp price decline (at least in the grades I look for). I joked in another thread though, not all books are dropping hard, I had hoped to finish off my Hulk 1-6 run and certainly paid a premium for an issue last month. -

Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???
PKJ replied to InfantTerrible's topic in Comics General
I agree and that was sorta my point, I did think the grade and market conditions might draw up a bargain but that assumption was not close tonight. -

I would like to report, I must be trying to get the same books as others who do not realize prices are suppose to be ease by now. Pretty sure I set a high on a Hulk #3. -

To pile on the Economy bandwagon. A year ago the TAT was almost half of what it is today, but got worse over the next 45 days. My Economy Books made it to Joey in March of Last year and are in the 8-12 SFG group that has not moved.

Putting the "which we didn't have to do" in every day practice now. But this means Economy is next right? -
