  1. Yea, me neither. I must have been wrong.
  2. This looks very familiar. Wasn't this used on Queen's "News of the World" album?
  3. Isn't there another one from the 50's that has some guy in the water near the shore, and on the shore you see 2 mechanical feet? You don't see the whole robot, just the 2 feet. It was creepy.
  4. This one. There is another Planet but this one is cooler.
  5. I can't remember exactly, but I have a Planet comic with a cool robot cover. Maybe I will dig it up for a scan.
  6. Third page! That's just not right! This thread should be pinned/locked at the top... right below AF15 and right above FF1. Agreed! (thumbs u +1
  7. I thought I posted this here, but I don't see my name on the list, so here it is. I bought this locally from a guy(original owner) about 1 year ago for an even 1K. I think I did all right, but for now it will remain raw. I'm thinking 1.8 to 2.0?
  8. Would you mind sharing when you bought it and how much you paid? About 5 or 6 years ago, paid Guide 'Good' value at a shop in CT. Wasn't cheap, but it's better than Good. Still quite a deal, IMHO.
  9. What is that book expected to bring in? Any guesses? I believe I have a raw copy that could give it a run for the money. I've been thinking of submitting it, i just haven't pulled the trigger.
  10. Well, based on the pricing of the mylar, Cole must be raking it in.
  11. , Gerber is where I get mine from, and never could find a place to beat their price.
  12. I now am officially a member of this club! I picked this up from boardie Kirk Kenobi and received it yesterday. YAY! It's a slabbed 3.0 cream to offwhite
  13. More books today from the "MAJOR SCORE" :kidaround:a couple posts back. Asking prices were marked. A nice Cap and a nice Wonder Woman!
  14. MAJOR SCORE!! Found these at a yard sale this morning. Those stickers were his asking prices.
  15. JIM/Thor lot and the Tales to Astonish lot, shipped and packed well. Books are even nicer in hand. Thanks!
  16. I have a few that did that also. Just flip the stack and put a weight on them for a couple weeks. As for the testing, that was excellent work. But to be honest, I anticipated the half/fullbacks would pass while most of the others didn't. Good to know my research a few years ago paid off. I switched to Gerbers quite awhile ago. They were the only ones I could find that were buffered throughout the board, not just coated. I have thousands in my collection.
  17. Well damn, I was going to post a few of mine, but the ones up there already are sweet. Lots of memories seeing those covers again. I have/read almost all of the ones posted. Now I remember why I read them as a teenager!
  18. The kudos thing bothers me a bit. I probably have over 100 transactions since joining back in '04, about 90 purchases and about 10 sales. I have never really had a problem either way. I believe my kudo score would only be around a "5". That's not reflective of my past history.
  19. I love me those 10 cent DC's, JohnT. Here is a a local pickup for me. I have it in the Grading forum without any responses so far:
  20. Thanks for the info! I'm not a collector of undergrounds, but these I had to pick up. They might show up in the For Sale section.
