  1. Didn't here appear very briefly anywhere yet? I could be imagining it, I'm getting old(er).
  2. My son buys stuff on ebay through my account. He also sells a little. Drum machines, processers, etc. He is 17.5 years old. At 18 I think I want him to start his own ebay account, so he will be a zero. Not good for selling, but what is he supposed to do besides buy a few cd's or something ? I liked the old way of setting the minimum buyer requirements. But that makes too much sense, right ebay?
  3. I've seen this many times lately and, while it sounds good, probably won't fly with ebay. But then again, they can't exactly make you sell the book either.
  4. This kind of stuff is making me nervous. Too much too quick. When we get a pullback, the last people on the ride aren't going to be too happy. At least for a couple of years.
  5. I remember seeing that skit when it initially aired. I was delighted all those superheroes were on SNL. Isn't this the one where Hulk stinks up the bathroom?
  6. This is great how fast this was figured out and partially "resolved". Great work by boardies once again. I'm looking forward to the rest of the story. That's alarming seeing how they got in through the top. So is this a unit inside one of those renovated warehouses? Look like they laid steel mesh cable across the top which sounds pretty good to me. Not too good on the supports that were supposed to hold the mesh in place though.
  7. You can expect more of this scrutiny to obtain "missing" tax dollars to get even tighter as states are scrambling to find money to pay for the enormous pandemic costs. As for getting money orders and personal checks, they leave a paper trail also, with your bank. If you get audited they will find that in 2 seconds. I'm pretty sure that is what wilbil was referring to. To me it looks like all those sellers that never paid a dime in tax money all these years are in for it. Private sellers selling off or turning over keys and making $1000's of dollars in profit might now be paying taxes. Here, ebay, everywhere. Consider this scenario- Blob or Dale or one of the true dealers sells an FF#1 for $15,000. He priced it knowing he has to pay taxes on the gain. But if I wanted to sell my FF#1 for the same amount, I shouldn't pay any taxes? Then I should sell mine for less, right? This levels the playing field for selling, imho. I assume this will not be a popular post.
  8. Did someone say Trimpe? He whipped this out in about 10 minutes for me with magic markers at an Albany NY show about 10 years ago.
  9. That is weird. That very CD is sitting right next to my monitor right now.
  10. I obtained this copy by purchasing, about 16 years ago and with a left bid, a longbox of early/mid bronze age books. It was full of 20 cent partial runs like ASM, Daredevil, CA, Hulk, FF. All Marvel. I filled in a lot of holes for me. Asm 121,122,129, this book were all in there. About 150 books all together. Average price per comic was 69 cents. That's right, sixty nine cents each. I missed out on a second box that wasn't so great, but was spiked with a IH #181 with a water stain on the cover. A third box I missed out on had an Giant size XMen #1, which was a key at the time but not a mega key. I wished I had the time to stay and attend the auction in person, because I just know they opened the bidding with my left bids. Those other boxes probably went for $1 more than my left bid. Yes, I know, my left bids should have been higher. I'm not trying to brag, but I did think little true stories like these should be shared for the youngins
  11. Comic lies flat. Still has some gloss. FC-Spine stresses and creases are all around. 1/8 inch spine split. Rear cover has a 3/4 inch tear and is slightly soiled.
  12. He said he pressed it, he never said he plugged the press in! Maybe he "pressed" it under a stack of books like I tried 25 years ago?
