Kinda surprised that I'm the only one here who has actually listed the stuff I voted for (none of my own, I hasten to add . . . I play fair)?

    What did others vote for . . . I'm curious . . . let's compare notes?

Don't be shy . . . even if your own art features heavily in what made the 'final cut' in your own voting choices that guarantees you at least five votes!. . . :baiting:

Hahhaha- ok… I can’t wait to show it. Pg 3 John Buscema and Klaus Janson. Written by Stan Lee.

story time… I had to go pick up something I had bought from Essential Sequential. Jason and I are friends so we were Bsing and Klaus had just sent him a ton of pages for him to archive and possibly sell. So he let me start thumbing through them. There was probably 1000 pages… so I’m going through stuff from the 70s until now in no order whatsoever…. And there it was! A couple messages back and forth with Klaus and we made a deal!

    That's awesome!

Kind of a prototype for Buscema's Wolverine run.

  3. So much art, and so many different tastes and eras.

I saw some things I'd missed during the year and left comments.

The only thing I can think to do would be to segment by decades.

It might help if artist and title were listed in each. Since some pages, mostly panels, are hard to gauge by the small preview. If I could see the artist, I'd know to deep dive. Or maybe something like Heritage, where when you hover over an image it gives you a larger preview?

  4. STILL On the lookout for (mostly) Thor and potentially other Marvel covers by Coipel or Ribic.

    Daredevil Maleev covers,

    McGuinness Hulk or Avengers covers.

Kirby (early, mid period like Captain America or Thor) panel pages.

I'm not interested in commissions or color guides, DC, or other unpublished work.

I am aware of what's on Heritage, Comic Link, ComicConnect, Hakes, eBay, and Comic Art Tracker.

I won this cover in the previous auction. I cancelled after I found out that the Banning inks we're done after publication. Commissioned inks over original pencils. I'm kind of surprised they didn't list that in the description this time around. It's a great cover. I just couldn't past the inks weren't done pre-production.

They have to fix that. Big mistake doing it once.

I didn’t like the face. Ow I would have bought before it was even consigned (the consignor is a friend and he did offer to me)

but I did bid it up to where I would have paid, but did not win

Good call, Sherman Surfer is no bueno.

Hard to believe that splash was $2250 a year ago, and the cover was $2500 in 2018.

Picked up two pieces by Liam Sharp from Albert's booth at Baltimore Comic Con a few weeks ago.  Really fun time at the con this year.  I need to go to more shows as I tend to run into things that are not online (or maybe I'm not as obsessively checking as some of you).  To that point, Albert had a whole portfolio of new art that Liam recently gave to him, none of it even priced yet.  I saw this splash and pretty much knew this was the example for me.  Love the loose rendering, really different from the other piece I picked up which is a tightly rendered WW pinup.  It's huge, 21" x 16.5".  This is from GL Season 2, #7, page 22.  Written by Grant Morrison.

    That's awesome!
I don't think I've seen any comic art that size, I need to experience it.
