  1. I didn't know what to post today but since I'm on a war kick and you guys seem to enjoy them, I'll list the ones I have in my bucket right now.

Here is GI Joe #35. Hot good girl art cover. I like this run and have quite a few of them. They are cheap and not to hard to find. Some of them have Yardbirds stories by Dan DeCarlo as a bonus.

  2. Last but not least, one of the most famous Atlas war covers...

That one always reminds me of the Baker flame thrower cover.. Do you have any other Baker war covers?

Yeah, I have most of the run only for the Baker Canteen Kate stories. The covers (other than this flamethrower cover) are pretty tame. I think I like the War cover is a little better. Black background really makes the flame stand out plus it's a little more detailed and gritty.

  3. Unfortunately, there were no romance comics in the "Paul" collection. I dug hard hoping there was some Baker stuff. Very little but no romance which makes sense. I love these "name" collections especially if you know what was in them. My favorite "name" collection was the "Rex Parker" collection I wrote about over in my thread. I got the whole collection of about 1,000 1948-1956 books. I pretty much bought them sight unseen. Was like opening King Tuts tomb as I turned them over in the pile! (no romance in that collection either, boys don't buy love books).

  4. With all the talk lately of "Paul" books I thought I would start a club to see whats out there.

Here are the only two I have.

Yours came from Ed Robertson's buy. Did you get them from him?

I like to trace the "lineage" on these. I know the original purchaser sold a ton of them on ebay so there are lots of the real good ones still out in "circulation"

He sold a jaw dropping Marvel Mystery #26 before I hooked up with him.

  5. Killer stuff Bob (worship)

I don't have them all scanned yet, but have some in my photobucket. I'll get some more scanned this weekend

Thanks Bill! Yours aren't bad either! I've got a bunch more but will have to find some time to dig 'em out and post 'em. I need to find the ones with the coupons filled out like your Our Gang.
