  1. Picked this up from Carbo at Terry's Yorba Linda show last week. Finally got it finished and wouldn't you know, it is missing a piece... I bought it with that thought in mind and it was the last one I needed to have the set of these puzzles so I am still very happy.
  2. Flea market finds this weekend! V1#1 1939 Cool nude girl in a tube cover. Has Paul illustrations inside + an ad for the premier issue of MLJ's Blue Ribbon Comics. V1#2 1940 Love the aliens on this cover. Has interior illustrations by Paul and Biro. Also has MLJ comic ads.
  3. Score #2 different guy. Couple of cool pulps for a 5 spot apiece. He had more later issues but they just didn't excite me so I left them for the next schmoo (I ain't greedy) V1#1 1939 Cool nude girl in a tube cover. 4. Well, Robotman scored yesterday morning at the flea market. Got these 4 Manhunts + about 6 other not so exciting GA comics for a 10 spot each! I didn't have any of these in my collection and have been looking for a while. I guess it pays getting up at 4:00 AM, putting on a jacket and driving up there! These are real underrated. In addition to great covers, they have L.B. Cole and Fred Guardenieer stories with good content. #2 Great GGA Electric Chair cover! #4 Been looking for this "surealistic" cover #6 Best cover in the run. This was actually an upgrade for me. #9 Never seen this one before. Very creepy cover!

  6. Love those Sharon. Gotta get me some Banner comics. The only Super Mystery that I want and don't have is that one with the girl on the table with the spikes on fire about to come down on her. I think it is V2#6. There is one that keeps getting relisted in fleebay but the guy wants too much and it has pieces replaced that he isn't disclosing. I'll hold out for a better one.
  7. Hap, post your #14 with the great Feldstein cover. I don't have mine handy.
  8. I love it. Just under the word comics some kid stamped his Don Winslow Initial Anchor stamp. Guess he was a real Fawcett fan!
  9. Now only if Andy Panda was in bondage... Wow, is that from the RJD collection?

  11. It's fun whenever I discover one of my books were previously owned by other board members. I put the interior with the one on the left, but I'm not sure what the best decision is. Stupid pencil marks... I love that book and still am searching for one. One of these days...
  12. Ernie photographed my Windy City St.John giants. These are nice - any chance you remember when you acquired them, Bob? Hi Gary. I've has some of these so long I don't remember where I got them. Do any look like Windy copies?
  13. I really don't care Mitch. I'm not here for numbers. You are welcome to contribute anything to this thread (or anyone else for that matter). I'd love to see everyone's stff and hear some stories. I know you got both!
  14. Yeah, but I don't think I will be cutting out a coupon outta one of my Caps to do so. The ads for this kit are great in the comics!
  15. I love the Spicey's! This is a nice one. Wish I had more. The contents are pretty racy as well. Irarely run into them any more...
  16. I'm sure there are more out there. Until today you didn't know about this one. I got mine years ago and don't really keep track any more. I love Giants/annuals and was on a tear years ago. I believe I have most of the St John ones in all genres. Glad I got them when they were under the radar!
  17. A few scarce St John Giants #1 #2 One shot issue

  20. Here's an early Theo "outing" in Overstreet - as an advertisement: There's a certain attraction to buying and selling with this guy. Just cannot put my finger on it . . . Even the makeup of the ad is a trip down memory lane - who remembers Letraset? I'm trying to get it out of my mind and and there you go doing that again... Yeah, I'm a graphic designer from way back in the day. I used to use Letraset, amberlith, rapido graph pens ect. I love the psychedelic font he used for his name!
  21. Briefer designed this Destruction Ray Machine which was featured in Rex Dexter. Yeah, that is cool. Wasn't it something printed in comic books that you cut out and put together like a paper doll? Weird machine for sure.
  22. Love that Hickory! Probably the best cover in the run.
  23. I have a few Blankiss Salida books I got from Metro a few years ago. Like the marks and some of the whitest pages I have ever seen! I've wanted a Green River book but never see any for sale either.
