  1. Ha! I wonder who he "purloined" that book from?
  2. I don't get that either. Both Marty and his lovely wife Carrie were such wonderful people. Kane was only going to sign only one of my books even though there was no one else there other than me. Schwartz eventually told him to do it. Can't say I'm a big fan of either really. It was just the opportunity...
  3. My pride and joy autograph wise. I have hauled this book around for years gathering as many sigs as I could. Most of these folks have sadly passed on...
  4. This one literaly came in the mail today. Was not noted when I bought it. Not super rare but fairly scarce.
  5. Some pretty rare GA signatures. The Reed Crandall is the only one I know of. It came in a book as a surprise. I got all of these myself (except the Crandall and Gaines which were both surprises). Long before CGC was around...
  6. Lilly Renee, female GA artist at Fiction House is also quite rare. She attended only one comic related appearance at SDCC. She was only there one day I believe. She was real unhappy that people were commending her comic book work only. She felt that the was more of a "fine artist". Signed for a while and left. I was lucky to get a couple books signed. Sorry, don't have them handy.
  7. Was lucky enough to get them both a couple times.
  8. I will second that.I have never seen his signature and I collect ECs. He wasn't happy about his horror work and like Ditko, turned his back on comics in later years.
  9. He was at SDCC many times and signed a lot of my books. Here are a couple. Big All American is double signed!
  10. I don't know how rare Gil Kane's is. I saw him at the SDCC in 1995 and brought a couple of books for him to sign. He was quite upset when he saw that I had Marty Nodel sign it first. He apparently didn't get along with Nodel and thought he had stolen Kane's "thunder". I figured since Nodel had created the original character, his sig would be appropriate. Julius Schwartz eventually calmed him down and they both signed my books as well.
  11. And one I’ve only owned once before. Was beginning to wonder if I would ever find a copy in the right grade/price range. Weird Science #12 (#1). Rick failed to note in his description that some guy named Jack Kamen scribbled his name at the top of the third page...
  12. Weird Science #11. One of Feldstein’s best sci fi covers. The detail on those moon craters is just awsome!
  13. Mailman brought me a few new ECs from my pal Ricksneatstuff. One of the best sellers here! A solid upgrade of a great Feldstein cover.
  14. I rarely find horror books I need anymore. But was happy to pick this one up from our very own Ricksneatstuff right here on the boards. A highly recommended person to deal with! Quite a cool issue from ACG. Most of these usually aren’t all that great, but this one is quite good cover to cover.
  15. Looks that way. Just bumped into them myself. It's POURING rain here so I'm on my second Jack on the rocks myself...
  16. Ha! Looks my house in a few hours with spilled beer bottles all over the table. Happy Thanksgiving Jimmers!
  17. More Weird Tales you say? Any with Matt Fox covers?...
