Thanks jpepx. That answers my question of how it was obtained!

Thanks Ed. I guess that answers my questions. I don't know how much it's worth, but I bought it because I liked it and as I said, it says "Dell" on it. Man, that studio is packed! A perfect example of hoarding. I have always, forced myself only to collect what I really like the most. I have people who used to give me stuff but I told them not to because I don't want my house to look like that. But, to each his own...

Strange Tales Collecting Thread !
Robot Man replied to Frederic9494's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
Mailman brought me a great piece of my childhood today. I bought this book off the stands due to the colorful cover and the strange story of the “Plantman”. Always loved characters that controlled the un-controllable. Aquaman-fish, The Penguin-birds, Antman-ants and the list goes on. Plantman had plants do his bidding. This was a favorite book of mine. This book went the way of my original childhood collection, the trash... Saw a copy turn up right here on the boards so I took it. As an added bonus, there are backup stories by Matt Fox and Ditko. Home run! I will read it again, file it away safely and sit tight until Marvel announces a Plantman movie! -
Those cheap Canadians, always swiping our US comic art, then printing it badly, sheesh...

Maybe the wrong place or time but since there are a lot of Scrooge fans looking at this, I thought I'd ask... I picked up this cool squeeker toy many years ago. One thing that intregued me was the marking on the back that said "Dell". Not sure if a store item or was offered by Dell as a premium or mail away item in the Disney comics. Anybody ever see it advertised as such or know anything about it?

I don't have a lot of Marvel Westerns. I like the monster ones, special artist covers and these origin issues...

Courtesy of a great boardie. This awsome motorcycle cover arrived to my garage today. Added bonus it has a Capt Nazi story featuring Hitler. Still such underrated books...

Probably my favorite Wow. Still looking for the right copy at the right price.

The Undead Thread: Pre-Code Horror
Robot Man replied to precodekeith's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Great run Hap. Yeah, I know what you mean. Lucky for me I bought probably 75% of my PCH real cheap back in the day. It kind of takes a lot of the sting out of paying up for the last few. I figure I’m WAY ahead of the game. I really feel for the new guys trying to buy this stuff now. Me, I’d be out of the game if I hadn’t bought back in the day. -
Oh no, I’ve got a fairly respectable SA collection too. They usually take a back seat to GA for me. Haven’t looked at them for a while and am now re-discovering how cool they are...
