  1. Wow, very cool. I got to meet her at SDCC a few years ago. Very sharp lady and was astonished that any one would remember her work on those “old silly funny books” as she put hit. Sadly, I didn’t get her to sign anything but really enjoyed talking to her and being able to let her know how much I enjoyed her work.
  2. Anybody see the show? The boys found a short box in a guy’s house in NO CA. Mike pulled out several beater GA books. Bat 44, Supe 60, a Flash in the 60’s and a Crown 1 CGC 4.0. They called the Great Escape in TN for an appraisal. Of course he gave the mint prices even though the Bat had split and detached covers as well as a panel out. An amended price was worked out and he bought all 4. I was dying to know what else was in the box. The guy had passed away and his daughter was selling his stuff. A lot of cool stuff. I would have gotton along great with him because there was stuff all over the place I collect and buy.
  3. I'll take a look at Marvel Tales #154,157 Wings #99 Tell it to the Marines #10
  4. Once I knew what they were and how cool they were, they were always around. Trouble was, the horror books were $3-$5 each when you could buy most any other PCH for a buck apiece in boxes, un-bagged under the tables. I usually took the low road... At one time I had a true complete EC collection. Everything except the giveaways. When the hardbound reprints came out, I kept my favorites and sold off all the rest to buy stuff that hadn't been reprinted. I soon regretted it and started a second set. Those also went by the way side. I'm back at it little by little with mid grade copies when I can find them. I also have a low grade, un-bagged set going sitting on a shelf in my closet just for reading when I get the urge. They have always been very popular in any grade.
  5. Yes, it has. A lot of people in for the short term small profit. Prices are nuts now. I have slowed down a lot of the better Atomic Age stuff. Luckily, I bought most of it years ago and don't need much anymore. The hobby used to be a lot more fun...
  6. Here's my American version all shot full of bullet holes I bought at SDCC many years ago for $30. Everybody was laughing at me...
  7. Thanks The only comic book work by him that I have from Real Fact #5.
  8. Don't worry about it Raze. With the prices people have been asking for stuff and in many cases getting it. I don't blame you. Near impossible to keep up with this insane market. So bad, that I have slowed down a whole lot in buying or selling a lot of Atomic Age stuff for a while. Price it at whatever you want. It will either sell or not. I have noticed quite a bit of resistance to nose bleed prices especially at shows. A lot of cool books have remained on the walls at the end.
  9. Got #9 in the mail today. Very interesting issue. Called a “time warp” issue. Very 1960’s looking even down to the Dave Berg “Lighter Side” feature. New artist copying his style. All new material but in a vintage feel. Can’t figure what they are trying to do. I heard that #10 will be the last issue of all new material then reprints for a few issues to fulfill subscriptions. No subscription cards or offers in this issue...
  10. I once had an old label MD #2 at 4.5 but cut it loose.
  11. Do ‘em now and be done. I’m on a streak!
  12. Yeah, and you know I would have hit it if I saw it... seriously, great stuff for the price today folks. I’m even leaving some I should probably buy...
  13. Dang Rick! You wern’t kidding this stuff is right up my alley. Keep ‘em coming!
