While you guys think this is bad at conventions, you guys should see Colosseum Of Comics stores here in CFL. Almost every raw key, is priced at 9.8 CGC prices regardless of condition. They spec new books super hard, and mark up things on release day. Some stores in the Tourist Trap portions of Orlando bet on international travelers who know jack about the market value. Example: A 6.5 Raw IH 181 sold for $2600. I was floored it actually sold!

Simple. Use LOGIC for warranting the popularity of said book with reasonable speculation information to support it. And Ignore RMA if he hounds you when estimating print run on variants.

And is this book the former or the latter? It is a legit Key that was awakened by a good spec. Cannot deny that. No, it doesn't. I know I know. I just sell a few books to collect the ones I want to keep. I work 4 jobs, and one is a local store. I've witnessed it 1st hand with the Campbell thread. The TAX this forum applies to comics is crazy sometimes, but.......people either have money and are really bidding on things that high, or everyone is selling high $ books to themselves with a spare account, or a friend, never shipping the books, marking paypal as sold, paying a little bit of fees, and setting the market for the unopened diamond box they have sitting in their back room to send in for grading. Add your tinfoil hat to my post if you want, but this happens here and at every single spec site more often than the public knows about.

Sometimes it's lemmings being lead to a cliff, sometimes it is a legit key issue that deserves attention. This entire forum runs on speculation and graded books being brokered by people whom are talented at manipulating the market. I'm not dumb, but I also don't have to warn others not to be.
