  1. A shiny quarter to anyone who links up that thread!
  2. And the most gentle, level headed ‘roid rage east of the Mississippi.
  3. Robo-Keys would’ve been fitting.
  4. Robojo. Most raw Silver Age “9.8s” you’ll ever see in one place...
  5. This might be the best explanation I've seen of determining cameo vs first appearance.
  6. SIU - Sith Initiates Union. At 65 you get your union pension and lightning hands. Speaking of...I proposed that his long lost brother Steve be a retired union carpenter. Maybe a computer glitch causes the SIU to think Steve is one of theirs, then all of a sudden Steve gets his lightning hands, and at that point he's got to use them...oh man, this long lost brother plot writes itself!
  7. Maybe he didn't believe in the transitive property.
  8. Either way, we'll at least have our answer in a few weeks. Maybe Khan will make a cameo...
  9. Back on topic though, you have to admit its hard not to be pessimistic about the creative process, or lack thereof, that has gone into crafting ROS. Abrams' track record isn't exactly littered with masterpieces of original storytelling.
  10. I feel like watching TLJ again would be like looking into the Ark of the Covenant.
  11. (Uncanny) X-Men 137 - Death of Phoenix. First of many. Two words - B eautiful. Three more words - Except the spine. The photos tell the story better than words. This seems like a book where a very detail oriented pressing professional could possibly get this into the low 9.0s. As is though, I give it a 6.0. -$20-
  12. (Uncanny) X-Men 135. Dark Phoenix has that look in her eye... Another one presenting much better than its assigned grade. A number of small color-breaking tics and bends along the edges of both covers. There's also a small spot on the bottom edge of the back cover where it looks like the book got wet and subsequently dried out. No other signs of moisture noted. Moderate non-color breaking bends throughout both covers. Call this one a 5.0. -$8-
  13. (Uncanny) X-Men 134 -- Dark Phoenix! Makes for great comics, and terrible movies. Anyway, this one presents way better than the grade I'm going to give it. Spine stress is actually pretty minor. Color breaking creases to both upper and lower front cover corners, and the rear lower corner. Moderate amount of non-color breaking bends and such. However, the kicker -- when held to the light you see a substantial amount of some kind of residue in the X-Men logo on the front, and spanning all four edges of the back cover. Whatever the substance was, it looks like it was brushed on. Calling this book a 3.0 -$8- Sold to @SkOw
  14. (Uncanny) X-Men 133 -- Wolverine lashes out! Well loved. Moderate spine wear, and very substantial amount of non-color breaking bends and creases. Roughly 1" vertical tear on the bottom of the back cover, near the spine. 2.5 seems about right. -$5- Sold to @SkOw
  15. (Uncanny) X-Men 131, first full White Queen (Emma Frost). Substantial wear on the spine and the edges of both covers, call this one a 3.5 -$12-
  16. Raws kicking off today and probably adding throughout the week. Start with (Uncanny) X-Men 128, which wraps up the Proteus storyline. Book has several small spine tics on the front and back cover, though they're much less noticeable on the back due to the white background. A number of non-color breaking bends on both covers. Very solid overall, I'm comfortable calling this one a 7.0. -$20- Sold to @Djohnson321
  17. Am I only the one thinking that they should have let the Robot Chicken crew write, direct, and animate Episode IX??????
  18. I did the same yesterday on someone who filed a bogus return but can't see my new comment either. Do our follow-ups just go into the digital trash bin now? Wouldn't put it past fleeBay to stealthily disable the feature.
  19. Sounds like a proper con day to me! Rock on
  20. I had to take a peek myself. Yeah... Really hoping none of what I read is actually true.
  21. I believe I see 2, possibly 3, color breaking spine stresses on the back cover. If that is the case, no hope of a 9.9, and most likely not even a 9.8.
