  1. OK I couldn't resist going to page 2... Hollywood Memorabilia: Cap #195, ungraded (looks to be around a 9.0 from the one available photo), signed by Stan Lee -- $821.99 w/free shipping eBay: Cap #195, ungraded VF+, unsigned -- $7 obo + $3 shipping Clearly, Stan's signature is worth approximately $811.99 in added value on a filler issue...
  2. Didn't bother going past page 1, but the SS 9.8 New Mutants 98 for 3+ stacks was my personal favorite. Forget free shipping, they should offer free drug screenings with every purchase...
  3. Man we suck at this... Agree on the other two. Origins was atrocious, but I did enjoy The Wolverine right up until he decided to ride his motorcycle straight up to the front door of Castle Yashida. All down hill from there.
  4. Worse than the Charles Soule “Death of Wolverine” fiasco? I’ve refused to see Logan altogether.
  5. Pirates of the Caribbean: In Space! No thanks.
  6. "When they actually made the movie I had doubts about it from the beginning, and expressed them, and didn’t really get too far," King said. "Sometimes when people have made up their mind, the creative team that’s actually going to go and shoot the movie, it’s a little bit like hitting your fist against hard rubber, you know? It doesn’t really hurt, but you don’t get anywhere. It just sort of bounces back. And I thought to myself, Well, people are going to be really puzzled by this, and they were. So there was some of that problem, too." If this is to be believed (I recall a number of pre-release hype statements from King), King should've tried to quash this project from the start (it's his material after all). Sony left the Tower in developmental hell for so long that I think by the time the ball got rolling they were just throwing default concepts at the wall (name actors, loud noises, cliche one liners) in the hope that they would draw some eyes.
  7. Santa showed up a bit early and brought me two 9.8 bumps
  8. Goodfellas comes to mind..."Awww, you overbid? #$*&! you, pay me!"
  9. Sounds like the sad tale of me and my Magic cards....
  10. Actually bought it at the Chicago Pop Culture Con in 2016, no way I wasn’t walking out with it!
  11. I'll have to go with the following: I had already acquired 182 in 9.8 (shout out to Greg Reece), and I didn't have five figures laying around to chase a 181 in 9.8. Ergo 180 in 9.8! Picked up on ComicLink. I dreamed up this Wolverine 8 homage one day many, many months ago, and the up and coming Mabel Garza (check out her art page on FB) finally made it happen! And since I don't currently have a photo of my Batman 227 since its at CGC, I'll do a #4/Honorable Mention as well. Because Wonder Woman.
  12. Oh Rainn Wilson. All the recent CryptoCon mania had me thinking of Schrute Bucks earlier in the week...
  13. My mind got to wandering so I thought I'd check in on this disaster's aftermath, and I found this article from late October: http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/news/a841430/stephen-king-says-dark-tower-tv-series-is-complete-reboot/ Maybe there's renewed hope going forward? Assuming its a completely clean slate of course.
  14. Hey the CryptoCon craze is in full swing, those Comic Coins might be worth a fortune today! And I mean today only!
  15. Oh that is so saved for posterity! Great catch, I didn't even notice!
  16. What exactly are you trying to find out? The Google machine tells me its a fairly run of the mill dystopian future featuring rebelling anti-hero type story (released six years after V for Vendetta...coincidence?) that has nothing to do with George Washington's spouse.
  17. Spot on. And yet most people look at you sideways when you tell them that...
  18. Agreed, odd that they would put the onus on you to cancel. As for feedback, I personally would just skip it altogether and chalk it up as (bleep) happens. The seller probably has listings on multiple platforms, and I'm sure books can slip through the cracks when you're handling hundreds of transactions per month. It certainly demonstrates a lack of attention to details on the seller's part, but you aren't out anything in the end.
  19. Just lock the shotgun up first. Problem solved!
  20. When I abandoned completionism and chose to pare down my graded books, the question I asked myself wasn't "Should I keep this book?" but rather "Why do I want to keep this book?" The answer typically boiled down to one of the following: 1. I have fond memories of this particular issue/storyline 2. I really like the cover 3. Capitalism says I should either keep now and sell later, or sell now at current value 4. I have no good reason for keeping this one, out you go! If you think the debate will prove to be too difficult, have a few clarity beers beforehand/during.
  21. Oh, I fully agree that this is Ben Affleckman level lazy in terms of casting. Tatum trying to pull off a Cajun accent...I don't see it happening, in this universe or any of the half-baked, marketing gimmick knock off universes that Axel Alonso would make up in five minutes. Also, I'd vote Hugh Laurie over Daniel Craig for Mr. Sinister.
