  1. Oh to get back my Magic cards...and sell them now instead of in 2002. And undo a number of stupid trades prior to that. If I could only smack 10+ year old Matt in the head...
  2. Which is worse - Dark Phoenix in X-Men: The Last Stand, or Topher Grace as Eddie Brock/Venom? My vote is for Eric Foreman. TLS was simply a terrible movie, it happens. But Topher was such an obscenely bad casting choice that anyone even suggesting it should have been fired immediately.
  3. Don’t worry, just send it to PGX. They’ll verify the signatures. And that napkin Steve Ditko signed for you. And your Jack Kirby sigs from 2015. And that Cheeto that looks like Elvis...
  4. I'd so be buying, but alas I don't know how to pay by "Money Onder". Oh what could have been...
  5. Yes, I believe those are accounts that are no longer active. I purge the @deleted ones from my list every so often to save space.
  6. Bah, nuts to that AAA rated stuff! B- and below high yield all the way!!!
  7. Playing devil's advocate, eBay can retort with "well sure, that's the item that you listed and SUPPOSEDLY sold, but how do we know that it was actually ever in your possession and actually shipped to that poor, wounded buyer who is just such a nice guy and only wanted what he paid for?" Maybe I got a little overdramatic, but it doesn't seem to be too far off from the way eBay practically defaults to protecting the buyer these days.
  8. There's also an interesting mini-discussion in the eBay: Blocked user thread related to eBay screwing a seller. In summary - buyer bought a book ($275), initiated a return, and returned something worthless in place of the original book. All eBay did was throw up their hands and say "you can't prove it, your loss". How f'd up is that?
  9. Matt freakin' Garza...Jim Hendry's feeble attempt to save his job going into 2011. Great idea to trade Chris Archer (and more) to get useless reinforcements for your 90 loss team... Is it weird that I'm still bitter about that in 2017?
  10. My other passion is seeing the Cubs beat the Brewers Seriously though, the Crew is on the upswing. Hoping I can get Villar for cheap in next year's fantasy drafts and he has a bounce back in 2018! And I'm 100% with you in regards to opening day, for me it's an automatic vacation day specified for "religious purposes".
  11. This is one of those times you stop and appreciate the honesty of the vast majority of people we deal with. If eBay keeps up their laissez faire attitude when it comes to dispute resolution, they're going to see their platform turn into a low end flea market. Its at the point where I start to think why should I risk selling even a few hundred dollar book to someone I've never met through their platform and take the (albeit small) risk that the guy on the other end is a jag bag like relequin and is going to pull a switcheroo on me, and eBay will just say "oh well, your loss"?
  12. Wow, dude couldn’t even come up with a transparent excuse like “oh, I put in one too many zeroes.”
  13. If my book disappears, and the USPS tag says "Daley" signed for it, while all my books are delivered to my office where no one named "Daley" works, then I'm for sure getting my money back, and someone is probably losing their job at a minimum on top of that. You can take that to the bank, no PO Box required.
  14. Give USPS even more money? Pass. I'd much rather give the Postal Inspection Service some work.
  15. Signature confirmation can certainly be your friend, however I have heard and experienced several relatively recent situations where the delivery person has signed for the item themselves and just left it. This is blatant mail fraud of course, but I've yet to hear of any occasion where the perp was actually disciplined.
  16. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/11/11/gal-gadot-wont-make-wonder-woman-sequel-unless-brett-ratner-is-out.html Hopefully more of the real talent takes similar stands against all of Hollyweird’s trash. To think, at one time I thought the worst thing Ratner had ever done was X-Men: The Last Stand. Dump him and his ilk with extreme vehemence.
  17. Heck, I’d block the guy just for his poor grammar.
  18. If they took MNF exclusively to streaming, ESPN would lose about 20 million viewers overnight. As of now, sports are the only reason I don’t seriously consider cutting out cable altogether.
  19. In a few years it seems the cable box with 900 channels is going to be replaced by the internet with 50,000 streaming services.
  20. Commence the process of competitive urination!
  21. Well raise my rent! Unbreakable isn’t on my list of favorites, but that’s pretty neat.
  22. Split was a continuation of the Unbreakable saga? Learn something new every day...
