  1. For the life of me I can’t figure out Peoria, IL or Springfield, MO, other than they’re probably cheaper rent and are within a couple hours of major cities. Quite a gamble on commuter traffic though.
  2. In other words - everything And from my limited viewing experience, I completely agree.
  3. As a heads up, I've been up close and personal to Don Rosa signing books, and the first thing he might do to your book is boldly X-out that "Walt Disney's" caption above Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck (this probably is a small insight into why -- http://www.cbr.com/the-legendary-don-rosa-explains-why-he-quit-comics/). From my own interaction with him I came away thinking he's a total ___hole, so even if you politely ask him not to deface your book who knows how he'll react.
  4. I didn’t even bother to look into All Access that deeply, but man does that sound like some weak sauce. Streaming with all the inconvenience of broadcast? For money? Yo, sign me up!
  5. Good afternoon - Please add Star Trek: Waypoint #1 (I specifically have the Nichelle Nichols photo cover retailer incentive edition) to the Star Trek (IDW Complete) set. Thanks!
  6. It’s on CBS All Access, which you have to subscribe to. Episode 1 was on regular CBS last night as a teaser. I tried to DVR the show but got treated to a 15 minute lead in of Oprah because the Packers game ran late, so I missed the end. What I saw wasn’t anything to write home about imho, acting was pretty wooden and they turned the Klingons into Tolkien’s Uruk-hai. Won’t be giving CBS any extra cash to watch it, they can put it on broadcast.
  7. Got a Universal 9.6 GS X-Men 1 I would consider moving, pm me if you’re interested in discussing.
  8. It's pretty widely known that Rosa is a total jerk unless you kiss his ___ and make absolutely no mention of Disney in his presence. The only time I ever dealt with him was when someone asked me to see if he was doing sketches. He wasn't interested in doing one, which was cool, but I still wanted to take a quick second to thank him for all he did for (some of my all time favorite characters) Uncle Scrooge, the nephews, and Donald...at which point his rebuke was "Donald Duck is Carl Barks" and he snidely turned away. I could've pointed out that Donald is all over his work and the wall art of his booth, but it wasn't worth the grief. F him. But since the issue you highlighted is a Carl Barks book...
  9. If you ever want to make Don Rosa lose it at a convention, ask him to sign a copy of this issue.
  10. This right here. Although if they weren't dropping the ball so consistently, we wouldn't have been treated to the epic GOODNEWSCOMICS meltdown. Silver linings...
  11. "Here's the snap...hold looks good and OH MY GOD! Vinatieri just got struck by lightning! In a dome!" I would definitely pay $3.99 an issue for some stories of Comic Book Guy Storm using his power to manipulate the spread.
  12. Don't forget Storm, who needs to be recast as an overweight white dude with a scraggly beard and an affinity for the NFL and Budweiser.
  13. Good thing Preparation H just debuted in Tanning Bed Hulk 22...
  14. Gotta give the book props for its survival skills. I mean, there had to have come at least one point where someone said aloud "why are we keeping dental hygiene comics from the 40's? Heck, it probably recommends a morning, noon, and night Lucky Strike per day!"
  15. You need to get on it and trademark that term before Marvel usurps it as yet another title. Get you your cut of all that Co-Existing Spider-Man variant money! Seriously though, of all the lazy excrement (and its quite the pile of excrement) Marvel pulls in their current push toward total failure, the multi-verse thing has to be one of the worst. Oh, you don't like this guy as the Punisher? Well here comes Billy Badazz from Universe 12c49, and now that we've slapped a skully face on his chest, he's the new Punisher! Like it or else...we'll hastily throw another one together! No Logan isn't dead. He's just old. Somewhere else. Why? Because we can't let any cash grab go to waste...errr, I mean, because it's a tapestry. Yes, that's it, a tapestry... Such a tragedy what they've done to their brand and their history.
  16. Makes you wonder why someone way back when thought "This. This book right here needs to be kept in pristine condition forever."
  17. No doubt! Send that Galicia sig for authentication!
  18. Last I knew it was an SA Thor issue. Someone else can flip through the census and find out which. To the OPs question - I owned two 10.0s at one point, coincidentally both were also Wolverine issues (#2, and the sketch cover of v3 #20). They now reside respectively with fellow Wolverine enthusiasts jimmy_mint and frostking.
  19. Note the highly collectible dust shadow on this "9.8". Honestly, this book turned out to be worth the $30 bill I spent on it just for the comedy relief.
  20. I remember my first two thoughts when "Totally Awesome Hulk" was first announced... 1. "Totally Awesome"? Are we all 5 years old? 2. What's his catchphrase, "Hulk tan!"?
  21. Correct, not movie hype, I heard in passing about Tanning Bed Hulk 22 taking off so I looked it up. Apparently its the first appearance of Preparation H.
  22. Just got an alert that this one has gone from 3 grand to $200. Another $195 off and I might pity buy...
  23. You sir, make an interesting point. I've never been cool enough to make use of the walkthrough tier where the FMV% charge comes into play, so I hadn't really thought about it. So now that we've kicked off a mini conspiracy theory, the disclaimer on the submission page seems to indicate that charges can be added if the FMV is ultimately determined to be higher than initially declared. And it would be a safe assumption that the fair market value assigned by CGC at charge time largely correlates to recent sale prices, no?
