  1. Sadly I’ve sold many of the cherries from my collection over the years to pay for other follies. Fortunately, not all of them. If Rick ever came knocking I might get a few of them graded.
  2. Must be pretty stimulating when a collection like that comes through the door? I’ve got a couple of these Blue Bolts. Personally I like the 4.0 better than the 6.0. Colors are much nicer and unpressed subscription crease doesn’t break color.
  3. First off who’s talking about needing the moderator? Looking at a person’s posting history is definitely fair game for trying to understand their perspective. In this case it’s very few and far between in recent years. Plenty of mistakes made by CGC that in hindsight allowed them to be victimized, no doubt, but “natives” “thugs” “incompetent” Shoe Town” “CGC turd tunnel” doesn’t advance the conversation in any way imho.
  4. Victim blaming is never pretty. Looked at your posting history in the past few years as I pondered a response to your ad hominem rant. It’s pretty sparse but does indicate a hostility to CGC that predates this debacle. If you don’t have something nice to say….
  5. Why judge? I love comics, the history of comics and making a profit on comics. Since I was 8. I say to itch his own.
  6. Pretty sure Heritage has sold most every print there is so examine photos there might help. Has been touched on before. I’d be wary …
  7. Score! Please let us know what heartwarming restorations you complete in the Water Cooler.
  8. Reminds me of seeing the Who’s “farewell tour “ in 1982 at Rich stadium.
  9. There are some incredible collections of pulps out there. One downside is space constraints for the massive slabs but will definitely open up the hobby to new blood.
  10. Valuing pulps starts with reviewing Heritage’s sales data. I also have the comic anrt price guide by Jerry Weist. It’s an excellent reference for pulps and magazines. As to how to value your pulps for grading ask yourself how much would I be satisfied getting from CGC if I never see this again? The answer for me is 95 percent or more of my pulps will go in as $400 or less.
  11. This is correct. The criminal investigation is not dependent on the victim but a squeaky wheel certainly gets the grease.Meaning if CGC was pushing the authorities to investigate and prosecute an arrest would be forthcoming. My guess/belief is CGCs civil lawsuit will never be answered and assuming the defendants are properly served will result in a default judgment. CGCs counsel appears quite capable.
