  1. Aside from some dialogue which they should have kept in line with the period, I enjoyed the first two episodes right up to the last moment in part two with the twist ending. Based on the end of part two, I know I will hate part three. But I am still going to watch it with contempt.
  2. Watching at least the first one tonight.
  3. Strong 7. Out of my league since I’m a weak 6 on a good day. With the right lighting.
  4. I am as well since Sigourney Weaver and Linda Hamilton in Alien and Terminator. The fact they went on to create the greatest action sequels ever to those movies didn’t hurt. Today, I’m completely taken by Watchmen with Regina King as lead. This show has set the bar high.
  5. I’m good with that. It was fantastic. It edges out The Irishman as my favorite film this year. I have not seen 1917 or Ford VS Ferrari yet but will this week.
  6. Wrapped it up. I enjoyed this more than most comic book movies I’ve seen in the last few years. It was also wonderful to finally see the giant squid on screen, something they didn’t think would work for the movie.
  7. Never seen that, will check it out.
  8. This looks very promising. My favorite Sandler movie is still Punch Drunk Love.
  9. I thought that was a cool scene when I saw it since he used the force to bring the broom to his hand and figured it was setting something up for Rise... which it didn’t.
  10. While TENET is the movie I’m most looking forward to in 2020, this is my guilty pleasure. Can’t wait to see Snyder’s return to zombies.
  11. I can’t say I’m looking forward to it based on their last effort but will see it in the theater if they get any other director to make it. I’ve never even heard of the pair that directed CM.
  12. Not the first time the writings been sloppy. Lots of weak dialogue as well and it’s frustrating because I want to love this show.
  13. I may have jinxed myself with Last Blood going into it thinking it would be at the level of the last film. Hard to top a truck mounted .50 cal or whatever he was firing and cutting bodies in half.
  14. No, it was nothing like the last film unfortunately. The last film was an over-the-top action roller coaster ride like Fury Road. I went into Last Blood destined to love it and left very disappointed.
  15. The best movies are whatever is best for you. I love Marvel movies but none would make my top ten or even twenty list of favorite films.
  16. Another example of an actor expressing his opinion. Nothing wrong with that at all. We all just need to live and let live.
  17. Triggered can apply to all generations as well.
  18. “OK boomer” is an ignorant dismissive response which says something about the person. Even when the boomer in question is an insufficiently_thoughtful_person. I’m GenX by the way. As far as MS, he was asked a question and gave his honest opinion and in turn triggered comic book fans. I guess we should hold our opinions to ourselves. My own opinion is that he’s correct. They are amusement park rides and there’s nothing wrong with that. I do see deeper comic book films with substance being made now so the trend could change eventually. But do we really want that?
  19. Will watch this on iTunes tonight, really looking forward to it.
  20. Not comparing the two movies at all. Just stating it fell off my daughters radar. Not memorable.
  21. I don’t watch movies I’m not interested in generally. Was looking forward to it with my daughters ages 15 and 12 and neither of them even remember it. It was that forgettable. They are still talking about Infinity War.
  22. So... 7 out 10 for you? Low 7? Nope, I love the character and understand the departure from his former self. I would have preferred that he returned somewhat before his end though. Yes, a better story could have been told but I still liked it more than the rehash of TWA.
  23. I liked grumpy jaded Luke. Loved the light speed sacrifice and the reveal he fought without actually being there. Yes, there were moments I didn’t like at all like Mary Poppins but overall I liked the tone shifting from the norm.
  24. I think the only Star Wars movies I love are Empire and Rogue One. I saw Empire as a kid before Star Wars. So Star Wars ended up being a let-down for me.
