  1. I’ve never read the Civil War storyline so that probably helped in my enjoyment of the movie.
  2. Almost as if Steranko put those credits together.
  3. Score for the original Superman is of course a timeless classic. For modern films It doesn’t get much better than this. Man of Steel is a close second for me. or
  4. Downloaded the season, will watch it tomorrow. Really looking forward to it.
  5. Actually on the contrary, I have no interest in manga or anime and I watched this with my daughters on iTunes today and I thought it was a great flick.
  6. Didn’t think I would be happy with whoever they chose for Blade but this is perfect casting. Then again, I also said that about Leto as the Joker.
  7. Loved Keaton in the role and I think Holland is a great choice taking over Spider-Man. I was hesitant as first about Tomei but I’m good with it now. That said, I didn’t like Homecoming. Didn’t hate it but it was forgettable. As far as Ragnarok, just like another poster mentioned, I hated the opening sequence before the main title appears and then after that, the movie climbs to #5 or 6 on my list of Marvel favorites.
  8. When it comes to Star Trek nerds, I’m definitely up there and I was still good with the change, “Where no man has gone before” to “No one.” But X-Men? Nope. Anyway they would never change it. It’s a solid brand like IHOP.
  9. Said it quite a few times that it never got as good as Casino Royale but I still enjoyed watching Craig in all of them. He can even carry a bad Bond film.
  10. Breaks down to grown folks being children. Never got into any VS debates like Marvel/DC, Apple/Android, PlayStation/Xbox, etc.
  11. Had to sit through this again as I rented it on iTunes for my daughters. I’m glad they enjoyed it but I could not get past Larsons bland acting like she was reading it from the -script for the first time. Which puzzles me since she is a capable actress. The -script also called for her to smirk her half smile throughout the movie for some reason and it stopped being cute from overuse. Fury was too far out of character but man it was amazing how they transformed him. Those effects were the only positive I saw in the film. Too many eye rolling moments. Near the bottom of the MCU stack for me. Hopefully she expands her range and ability in the next one. But then again, they made a ton of money so they may not change anything with her.
  12. Battle scenes were spectacular but I would have loved at least one fight in daylight. Everything else outside of the monsters in the film was meh. Worth the price of admission to see the titans on the big screen.
  13. I’m inclined to agree with you. Nostalgia tells me First Blood all the way but Rambo is just a relentless beast that delivers for any action fan much like Fury Road. Simple formula with flawless execution.
  14. If the OA is published I wouldn’t add anything or alter it in any way. I have published art including a cover in which the artist did not sign for whatever reason. The cover is edge to edge art and he probably thought his signature would detract somehow. So I will keep it original as published. That’s just me, I don’t flip out when I see people adding signatures to classic art, I just wont be a bidder at game time. Too much art out there that’s still in its original unmolested state. Commissions are a different story, go to town on them.
  15. I guess I’m off on the numbers because I had to guess based on this. Didn’t see an option to break the numbers down exactly in my phone.
  16. Good, this film just doesn’t need to exist. Love the Rock in Ballers and pretty much nothing else.
  17. I would love to see Elba and Fassbender crush it as Double 0 agents but not 007. Both are too old. Get someone who is 30 that can carry the franchise as a 35 year old character for a decade.
  18. Saw this on iTunes yesterday and out of around 900 reviews about 300 were one star out of five. Didn’t really see any hateful comments in the one star, mainly things ranging from “It was ok” to “forgettable.” Pretty much the camp I’m in except I don’t bother to leave reviews anywhere except here.
  19. And on digital printouts, while most are clean lines that are printed in blue and inked, there are some artists that have digitally created that rough sketch look for whatever reason to print and ink.
