  1. Was not happy that my theater kept the lights on believe it or not. Lost some atmosphere. Anyway, Movie: 7 out of 10. Phoenix: 10 out of 10. Oscar-caliber performance if ever there was one. His distressed laugh at times was nearly heart breaking.
  2. I loved Rambo 4 as an action movie that delivers in similar fashion to Mad Max: Fury Road. Simple story with well paced extraordinary action sequences. As much as I loved 4, I can throw out the critical consensus below and go see this last one without a second thought.
  3. I’m up to 4 episodes as well and really enjoying it.
  4. There are a few notable exceptions to that throughout history. Plus we want the Joker to be the exception or he wouldn’t work.
  5. Ended. Please delete.
  6. Sounds like you were never going to give this movie a chance anyway. Don’t worry, there will be some negative reviews hitting as well.
  7. No, hopefully it’s just false information. Honestly, if they want John to appear, they should use the internet’s pick of Reedus.
  8. Ok, so I paid three bucks for the first episode and after viewing decided to buy the season. Had no interest in seeing this but that first episode sealed the deal for me.
  9. Recently watched the Terminator double feature of the original plus special edition of #2 with my daughters. They have not seen any other Terminator film after those. I wish I were them. Now Dark Fate will be their third one.
  10. These movies have been my guilty pleasures. Sure Riddick was just a rehash of Pitch Black but I like creature features and I have to say I was entertained.
  11. Alive and well. Hopefully this is not a recent photo. Would hope the savior to the future would do some crunches.
  12. I don’t do repeated viewings of one movie in the theater. It loses something to me when I do that. I like to let at least 6 months go by before enjoying it on the big screen at home. I remember killing one of my favorite movies by over-watching it. Lost it’s magic and I can’t even sit through it anymore. I’ll rent the extended cut later when it’s released on home media.
  13. Based on all the great reviews I’ll check out this show on iTunes later today.
  14. Box office has never concerned me since it doesn’t affect my bottom line but I would guess this will not rake it in like a Transformers or Fast and Furious movie. What I expect is an incredible performance from Phoenix and probably a pretty good Elseworlds type story. I really don’t want DC to build a cinematic universe. They need to concentrate on just making good movies like The Dark Knight. They really strayed from that but Joker looks like it would have been perfect in the Nolanverse.
  15. I was hoping Clark and Zod would settle their differences peacefully.
  16. I saw all of these in the theater and left thinking this is the reason I go to the big screen. Superman, Superman II and Man of Steel. Watching the first Reeve Superman as a boy was an incredible experience and the nostalgia and love for it is strong. I was wide eyed and my jaw dropped when he caught the helicopter. I can’t watch that scene today though and get the same feeling back but it definitely returned with Man of Steel. Not perfect but any movie can be nit-picked. I was completely good with the controversial finale because I didn’t want my grandfathers Superman. It was time for mine. And while I did not really enjoy any of the Batman/Superman/JL movies that followed, MoS delivered in spades for me.
  17. I thought the poster sucked too. I thought Bosco had posted a fan made poster. Lately even the fans are doing a better job than that though. Maybe if this movie came out right after Winter Soldier I would have more interest but not really sure the character (not the actress) can carry a solo film. Same goes for Hawkeye. An R rating would help open up the tone. I don’t want a watered down version of La Femme Nikita or Red Sparrow on the violence aspect. And getting a director who has only directed one movie ten years ago is not a smart play. Plus, she wrote The Hustle recently? Marvel is really gambling with this one. Possibly hoping for Deadpool success on a Deadpool budget. I’ll rent it on iTunes if you guys start raving about it here. I am being completely honest here when I say I would rather see Scarlett in Ghost World 2 than Black Widow again.
  18. No, I don’t believe I’ve ever requested or signed up for it. They have my address since I’ve sold art there so I assume that’s why I get it.
  19. Interesting choice of director. Loved True Detective so we’ll see. I really hope this one can take us back to the level of Casino Royale. Then Craig can walk out of the franchise on a high note.
  20. Mixed feelings on The Matrix storylines but I’ll turn off my brain and see a new one in the theaters every time as these movies are the very definition of eye-candy.
  21. Different strokes I guess. I loved Jackie Brown and Inglorious Bastards. Looking forward to seeing the new Hollywood one this weekend. But even as a fan of his films, he’s not right for Star Trek. Hope he proves me wrong.
