  1. I really enjoyed the last set of X-Men movies and this trailer looks great to me. I didn’t read any of the storylines in the comics so maybe that’s why I have no issues with last few movies.
  2. Auction ended, thanks for looking.
  3. The OP only asked for 4 so as difficult as that is, I’ll simply give my 4 favorites. Frank Miller - For nostalgia, Ronin and DD. And then DK, 300 and Sin City. Sam Kieth - For The Maxx and all his beautiful new non-comic related abstract paintings. Steranko - Outland, Fury and all his noir work. Dave Stevens - For all the girls I’ve loved before. Currently, I’m overjoyed to have art from three of them.
  4. Little dude must be doing crunches in there all day.
  5. It just never got as good as Casino Royale for me. I’m praying Craig goes out on a high note with this one. I’m also glad Boyle departed the project. I love his 28 Days Later movies and Sunshine but he doesn’t seem like a good fit for me on a Bond production.
  6. Wow, glad to hear some positive reviews here. I can’t see this until next month unfortunately when I get back to the US. Hope it’s still in theaters. My initial thoughts were it would probably be just ok if you were a kid but now I’m really looking forward to seeing it.
  7. Two more covers. One by Alex Ross and one by the printer.
  8. I closed my P.O. Box for nearly the same reason. I opened a box at the UPS store and for the first few months I needed both the card and my ID. Once they knew who I was, I only needed the physical card. Every once in a while a new face is there and then I’m asked for ID and card again and I happily ablige. Never going back to the Post Office for services.
  9. Well I don’t know what Gunn’s political views are and I don’t care. I do know what Sean Penns views are due to the fact that’s he’s so outspoken and I personally can’t stand listening to him talk in an interview but I’ll watch his movies all day long because he’s a great actor in my opinion. I’m glad Gunn’s back but I think it would have been very cool to see what Waititi would have done with Guatdians 3 as he was the logical choice to take over.
  10. This may be the first movie I enjoy with Momoa in it. With good direction he may not come across as such a goofball.
  11. I hope you had a chance to see The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in the uncut remastered edition. The lost footage that was replaced really helped clarify and expand upon existing scenes. Simply a masterpiece along with Once upon a time in the west. As much as I love comic book movies, they just don’t measure up.
  12. I was going to reply to the OP with a link to Essential Sequential. Mann’s art does move there, I’ve missed a few good pieces that popped up but recently picked up a nice one.
  13. It’s funny, I badmouthed Justice League and Aquaman in their threads and nobody jumped on me for expressing my opinion. Thank you.
  14. That is not a fair assessment to say that some here who have cited the movie as just “good” have a rabid hate-on for CM.
  15. I wish they would have done this limited screening nationwide. They could have put away another hundred mil.
  16. I can’t remember but did they ever say the name Superman in Man of Steel? I know they said it in all the movies after.
  17. I’m pretty much right there with you. I also do a lot of loitering near the bathroom area to stretch my legs and over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones have spared me on several trips near fussy babies. I also break out my Kindle Oasis when I’m movied out. That screen is really easy on my eyes.
  18. I make that trip from Atlanta to Dubai 3 times a year and it’s brutal. I load up my iPad by downloading movies and tv series from iTunes, Amazon and Netflix. Like others have recommended, I think you would enjoy Watchmen but The Directors Cut is not airline friendly in several parts. If you haven’t seen The Dark Knight, that’s the gold standard.
  19. Your post implied to me (maybe I misunderstood you) that we should be happy we are getting our comics heroes on screen. I am. When the movie is great. If I like it or dislike it, I’ll come here and share the reasons why. You stated “as long as they don’t change anything from 40 years ago right?” You’re implying (and again, maybe I’m misinterpreting you) that that’s how I think. It’s not. I don’t want my characters from 20/30/40 years ago to appear as they did before on screen today. Some do and that’s perfectly understandable. And was I one of the ones that hated Ledgers performance? You must have missed where I wrote, “repeated viewings of The Dark Knight.” I also didn’t know that everyone hated it. Personally I loved it. Dark Knight is my favorite comic book movie.
  20. So glad Will Smith is being replaced. Can’t wait to see what Elba does with this. I haven’t been a fan of Smith since Fresh Prince.
  21. It’s going to take a lot to turn this franchise around. I had high hopes for Salvation and there’s still some great things there that I liked but they dropped the ball. They just need to reboot and start over.
  22. Those are your answers? If that’s truly your thought process then ok. No judgements here. And Charlize is not part of the MCU or something so that example is out? I thought I was talking about actors and performances. But I’m not here to argue, I thought Brie was great in The Room and Free Fire and bland in Cap Marvel. For those that loved her performance here that’s great, not trying to take anything away from them. Peace.
