  1. Bought a book from revat; shipped promptly. Good seller (thumbs u
  2. Nope. They went the other way. Sue Storm is adopted. Sue Storm adopted. Because an African American family adopting a white child is much more common. These "film makers" are pathetic.
  3. 4.5? 5.0? 4.5. Looks 5.0 to me though I'd say 5.0 too. It's graded by..another company, no?
  4. Its not a prerequisite to telling a good story, but its a prerequisite to telling a good FF story. If you take the FF and change their ages, looks, powers, personalities, jobs, etc- its not the FF. It may end up being a good movie, but I was hoping for a good FF movie. Well said. My suspicion is this will be neither.
  5. This. Time has only galvanized the initial impression that it was terrible. Oh, except for all the people who liked it. And there are actually a lot of them. Yeah. Must be about five of them in this thread alone.

  7. Whatever they show looks worse than the previous stuff. And that's hard to do. This movie looks like an insult to fans of the classic comic. Fox, give the rights back to Marvel. You're so far beyond your depth.
  8. I'm pretty confident this movie is going to make a ton of money. And it's going to suck. A combination that is not good for comics in the long run.
  9. I do think/hope there will be a spinoff. I like (not love) this show, but I think the shelf life is pretty limited at this point for AOS. I think they haven't done a great job of getting people to CARE about the characters. At this point I'd rather watch a show about just Skye and her parents. Or just Coulson and hunter as an odd couple secret agent duo. A Secret Warriors show would be a good idea, but I think too 'super powered' That's interesting. I actually think she's the least interesting character in the set. OH up until now, I've thought she's the least interesting character. But NOW, I'm not remotely interested in the NEW NEW Shield, and Coulson seems shelved somewhat, I could watch a whole show about Skye and her inhuman secret mom and her MR Hyde evil scientist dad trying to get along in a secret Shangri-La while she learns her powers and discovers the world of the INHUMANS. THAT IS a show I'd watch, but preferably as a ridiculous overdramatic soap opera co-written by whoever wrote EMPIRE. Like one involving Black Bolt's son, who happens to be a scientist who is fascinated with Skye, but doesn't want to go through the mists to get his own powers, and obviously there's some prophecy about Skye (there's groups that are for and against her). And it examines fun things like duty, honor, finding ones place in the Inhuman and/or human world, love, loyalty, power, royalty, politics, etc. All this while her parents are trying to get to know each other again and Mr Hyde is trying to hide his true self while doing secret experiments to heal himself. Think Game of Thrones but scaled to Empire size for Inhumans. Doesn't that already sound more compelling than MAOS? Honestly, I couldn't care less about Skye and her crazy father. The mother is somewhat interesting. I just don't find Skye's story at all compelling or her...well, frankly, all that likeable.

  11. I'm not sure what their plans were initially, but given the response, they would be foolish not to have a second season. And Marvel has not shown a tendency to foolishness.
  12. ...and Corman's FF is now referred to as the better adaptation...
  13. And what if the film is actually good? Ha. That was a good one.
  14. How does this book even exist ? -J. Good question as Jack Kirby passed away before CGC existed...and they have to witness the signature...
  15. David is great to deal with. Grading is spot on, ships and packages well, and a good communicator too. (thumbs u
  16. Me too. Especially since she's not as interesting as the people driving the show seem to think.
  17. The answer is: the cell is monitored and you are hoping the two communicate so you can learn secrets.
  18. That was a very good finale. I was a little surprised what she did with
  19. Ah, so he'll be a blogger from Latveria. That makes it so much better. And I was afraid they were going to totally screw up the source material.
  20. The only thing I thought of in connection with the FF and a prop plane was that Wyatt Wingfoot flew a plane. I think.
  21. Regarding the trailer, I wasn't expecting much, and I wasn't disappointed.
  22. No reason to 'memorize the website'. We are trying to make sure there aren't multiple threads on the same topic so as to keep the sub-forum clean. In defense of the OP, I don't think he is alone. I know this sub forum was around for at least a little while before I realized it. There never was a formal announcement in CG that I ever saw...
