This is a well-reasoned argument and well thought-out post. I can easily see why you made the trade you did, and kudos for that. But if SOT is annoyed with you for starting this thread and poll, and you're trying to fix that (to loosely quote you from up top) I'm sort of failing to see that in your post here. Maybe it is me. Very well reasoned and sound No doubt you did the right thing for your collection. You're happy and that's all that counts (thumbs u That said, I can't see the turtles ever coming even close in popularity to Spider-Man, movie or not. (Wasn't there already a movie, btw ) Given the grade differential in this case, the two books will likely stay in the general neighborhood of each other.

When people say "the TMNT 9.6 is the cooler book" which part of that do they most mean? I suspect the 9.6

The demand side of that equation would be even more one sided to AF 15.

I have no interest in anything with "Ultimate" in the title... Just not the Marvel Universe as far as I'm concerned.

Anything to eff up this franchise more than already done. Nothing but disrespect from these "film makers".

Just got a large haul from Mark's thread (not the Greatest one), and am very happy. One book in particular was undergraded IMO. I happened to check, and I've bought over 115 books from Mark over the years. Far and away more than anybody else on the boards, or anywhere else in all likelihood. I can't think of a single one of those books I was disappointed in.

This is very true. It's very relevant when talking about changes to the source material, choices on inclusion/exclusion, etc. But when talking about something as basic as casting, first of all, they should listen to the people that know the characters best. Moreover, if you handed somebody from the "general population" a sample of the comics involving these characters, they would have the same reaction regarding the poor casting: "What the were they thinking?"

No, it's the 2nd series, which ran 114 issues. The first series stopped at 47.

Story: Two friends (who end up being Mr. Fantastic and The Thing), starts with them being really young. An event happens at 16 that changes them, instead of being superheroes, they are basically owned by the government and used as weapons. So, basically, they're going to it up again.
