  1. Round 2 of the sales thread will start at about 7:30 EDT Friday. Lots of ASMs, DDs, JIMs and other titles. About 70 books. Hope to see you!
  2. Starting a fairly large sales thread tomorrow (Friday) night, about 7:30 ET; first of four sessions. About 270 + books total, 65 tomorrow. Almost all raw, half a dozen slabs. About 40% are Spideys. Lots of keys spread throughout the four sessions: FF 52, DD 131, 158, 168, CA 117, ASM 33, 50, 121,122, 129, X-Men 266, Hulk 4,5, 340. Lots of DDs and JIMs/Thors spread throughout. Hope to see you!
  3. Got another shipment from Mark. Well graded books at good prices and great communication (thumbs u
  4. Looks like the poll doesnt match up to the posts. 24-17 now in favor of Does Not Suck. Still, considering that we're all comic guys here, these are HORRIBLE numbers. If comic guys are roughly only 3 to 2 in favor of this show, that cannot bode well for it. Actually, I think the population here would tend to be more critical and find more things to carp at than the general population.
  5. This is what I think caused the major disappointment amongst the fans. The majority thought it be about Marvel super heroes, but the last time I looked it was called Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. When we read S.H.I.E.L.D. the comic book what did we get? We got a spy comic book that really had not many super heroes in it, so maybe when we watch a TV show called Agents of SHIELD, maybe we should expect a show kind of like James Bond and spies, and not superheroes? So in conclusion the majority of the people thought they were getting a superhero show, but instead got a good superspy drama. That`s my take on it. Thoughts? My problem with it is that it's just a bad show. SHIELD logos or no, it's still a poorly acted and terribly produced show. I'll give it a couple episodes then I am likely out. I enjoy comics, I like marvel, but that doesn't instantly mean it's going to be a worthwhile show or change the apparent fact that this is not a good program. That's like saying the CFL kicks just because the NFL is awesome... The acting was good, as was the production. Not sure what you were watching. I realized a long time ago that many people here are very knowledgeable and insightful regarding comic books, but regarding film and acting...not so much...
  6. Perhaps they are better suited to Downton Abbey. Their accents are horrible. UNLESS YOR A GIT FRIM BEK OON DE OLDE NAYBEERHUD EW RIGHT LERVES WIT MAE KNOCK DAN, OI GUVNAH. I couldn't translate past "neighborhood"
  7. That's pretty much what I'm thinking. I don't know what people were expecting or wanted.
  8. saying that Fox is in no hurry to give away Galactus, who's a "cornerstone" villain for the Fantastic Four. This line from that article makes me If those I*diots at Fox thought he was such a key character why did they replace him with a cloud???
  9. We'll that does make me feel a little better. Yeah, I've seen worse. In fact my copy of that very book - IM 2 - is almost as bad as that.
  10. My name... My avatar is a scan of an Avengers 55 that sold at a sane price in the past week.
  11. Nik packaged very well, shipped promptly and communicates well (thumbs u Excellent seller.
  12. The OP should get rid of that question mark in the title of the thread.
  13. Mark shipped a book very quickly to me, well packaged - which was important as the USPS crushed a corner of it. Book came through fine though. Communication is excellent as well (thumbs u
  14. Recently received another package from Mark, and as usual very happy, particularly with a TOS that was very nice. Excellent seller in all departments (thumbs u

  16. Not sure I posted this here before...
  17. 48 hours is reasonable, unless he/she knew you were out of town. In that case a longer timeframe should be used IMO...72 hours +, maybe until, for example, next Tuesday, if it was this Memorial Day weekend...
  18. Very nice 3.0 I hope to get in this club someday...

  22. Cal; There are literally hundreds (if not thousands) of people here who have been here 3 + years don't harass or insult people don't send threatening PMs do post opinions on comics related issues do contribute to constructive activities on the site do treat people with respect in their posting and in general never cause any trouble whatsoever Please explain why these people should now have to pay any fee because of the behaviour of a few nut jobs.
