    Buyers: What is your plan for the current insanity?

    I sold most of my books last year to fund a new business venture. Could I have made 2-3x more for my books today? Yes. Do I regret selling? Kinda bittersweet, but not because of the dollars ... it’s because I loved the books.

     I love the hobby, the medium, the hunt and everything that true collectors value. I always thought that some day, I’ll jump right back in. That some day might be decades from now... lol 

    people driving up prices today are nothing more than speculators. The anti-hobbyists 

    As an equities/stock trader, I see this happen all the time, especially the past year or so.. These GameStop-buying  nuts are driving up the prices and are going to be bag-holding overpriced books just like they lose their shirts in the stock market when they chase and go all in on stocks that have already run 200%+

    volatility/change is wild in the markets and glacial in comic collecting with low liquidity and other factors... the prices will drop and the time will come, but I expect it to take a while. 
    don’t go buying because of FOMO.. 

    stay solvent and continue to love the hobby as we always have

    I'm back. Can I buy all those old comics at cover price yet? Did the crash happen while I was away?

    Like every meme stock these days and buyers with FOMO, comic book buying has become no different... a lot of people are paying absolutely ludicrous prices for books. When prices drop on comics (and I believe they will at some point), a lot of people will be left bag holding books they paid idiotic prices for .. just my 2c... and I don’t feel sorry for them either .

    The feedback was what he left me. 
    He left positive feedback and wrote: “Good seller fast shipping”

    I didn’t leave him any feedback. The time frame for me to leave him feedback closed by the time he opened the case.

    In January 2020, a buyer bought my BB28 CGC 3.0. 

    He DM'd me about getting him the book ASAP because it was a birthday gift for his girlfriend. I thought it was odd anyone would give such an expensive gift, let alone to a girlfriend.

    But, what do I know? To each their own. I expedited this to him and it arrived when he needed it. He gave me a positive eBay feedback and that was it.

    Fast forward to April and I get notified by PP that he opened a case, citing that he didn't authorize (or was unaware of the purchase). 

    I provided all evidence I had, which included

    - a detailed eBay private message conversation

    - tracking information that included an image of his actual signature

    - PP invoice (name/address matching the eBay purchase)

    - screenshot of positive feedback left (PP invoice transaction # matching the # on the ebay feedback)

    Now in June, the financial institution still sided with the buyer. There was absolutely no other type of evidence I could reasonably present.

    Thankfully, PP didn't debit the money from my account (despite that they said they would initially), but still, this crook got away with it and caused me 3 months of stress in the process.

    His eBay account, which had 100+ positive feedback, was deleted because (according to eBay customer service) the account name was inappropriate - "randomshieeeet"

    but his name is Kush Patel and he's from Montreal. If this SOB buys anything from you, don't ship.

    Donon bought a high grade Hulk 181 from me and the transaction couldn't have gone smoother. 

    Great communication, zero drama and fast payment... I WILL DEAL WITH HIM AGAIN..!

    presents very nice for the grade. I've been meaning to get this pressed and cleaned for a re-sub, but i'm just looking to sell at this point.

    I had this posted in the 'spare a grade section' and I asked about a grade bump consensus. 

    The unanimous thought was 3.5-4.0

    2 ) No Hall of Shame members or members on probation

    3 ) Prices are in USD; I will accept the Canadian Dollar equivalent at the current exchange rate.

    4 ) For payment, I accept PayPal, Interac e-Transfer (for Canadians), money order or check (Note: item won't ship until payment clears); I will not accept PP F&F as this violates board policy.

    5 ) No Returns on CGC graded books unless item damaged during shipping; books will be protected well. It may take a few days for me to get the item shipped out.
