  1. Sorry, Andy for being an insufficiently_thoughtful_person. I've just seen the #1. I thought it was a #4 but with an Australian colouring.
  2. I thought it was because you're really tall. @AJD Nice looking copies. Have you got the #1? The oar propelled balloon made me laugh, they surely didn't do that....did they? On a related, similarly implausible note I watched The Aeronauts this week. Not a bad film, quite gripping (literally) in places but with a fundamental disregard for the amount of oxygen needed to keep a person alive.
  3. Yes, but he was very polite about it considering he was an eyesore an' all.
  4. Didn't remove the NCB corner bend that I specifically asked him to remove. Basically spent £20 on a trip for my book to Wigan and back. Hope it saw the pier! Well, the split looks a bit longer in the new photo, I'm not saying it is longer after the press, but it looks it, so I'm revising my initial estimate to a 6.5.
  5. I thought that as well. I didn't really think it needed cleaning & pressing, I hope you haven't damaged it further. I've used Giles before, being in the UK he's the only 'professional presser' we've got, and whilst he didn't damage the book I wasn't overly impressed with the job he did either.
  6. I remember your last SA/BA sale here, it was glorious...well for me anyway.
  7. I've been slowly rebuilding the collection sans the toys. Do you remember the 'Gareth Thomas' Tom Baker figure? , I had that as well. But it would be nice to have kept something original, you know. I'm really quite envious of Unca Ben's book and all the memories it must contain.
  8. Yep, had a couple of 60's daleks and a few annuals. I also had (although they're relatively worthless) every Target book published up to that point (1979).
  9. Wonderful scrapbook! It's great that you kept it all these years. I literally have nothing from my childhood, it was either chucked out by my parents or I sold it during my teenage years when I was 'too old' for childish things. In my case it Dr Who stuff, 2000AD comics and a load of UK Marvel reprints.
  10. That's a lot of Marvel sale boxes you got there, Mike. Any chance they'll be seen on the boards?
  11. That FF 54 is one of the whitest copies I've seen. Congratulations!
  12. GreenEggs is gone. Long live the March Madness! P.S. I'm in.
  13. I think it's a great drawing and I'm not disputing a cat's agility, the tiger just seems a tad too looooong.
  14. The Tiger has a serpentine look about him in the first panel of the story. That aside, the majority of the jungle action is very good indeed. The Crimson Comet looks vaguely disinterested on the cover. Was he saving golden girls in distress from gas-mask wearing thugs all the time?
