Gotta give Bob ( @blazingbob - HighGradeComics.com) a shout for finding a seemingly impossibly difficult to locate, high grade, early issue run of Amazing Spider-man.  While mine is the lowest grade of the batch it is a book thats been on my want list in 8.5 or higher for almost two years.  Also, have to thank @Shaolingoat for pointing out the books!

Well it was either that, or watch you buy more Ghost Riders.

  2. Spent around four hours at the show yesterday with my son and a couple of friends from out of town.  Felt that the variety in the room dealer wise was much improved as compared to previous shows--particularly the number of slabs and SA keys.  I was impressed.  Ended up a nice GA book, a SA slab that I've been searching for the last 12 months, and my son walked away with quite a few nice bronze Actions.

All in all, a nice way to spend a Saturday.

lol That’s a pretty hard stance to take based on three kids from Texas and moldy cake but I’ve heard less educated statements out here so...

As for what I’ve seen it’s the complete opposite.  I have two boys and Spidey is the absolute king (although hulk is gaining ground).  Go down the hallways at their school and every other bag on the Wall is Spidey.  I also have three nephews ranging from 9 to 13 who also consider Spidey the man.

@Shaolingoat You’re from Texas...  What’re your thoughts on using anything from Texas as a metric???  Pretty sure I know the answer but will enjoy the response nonetheless.

You know damn well I'm not from Texas.  But during my 10 years in exile here, I've learned that any place that uses white gravy as a garnish can't be used as a metric for anything.

Yep, time really flies - it's already December. What has 2017 brought to you? Lets see the highlights of everyone's collecting efforts.

And what about your collecting goals for 2018?

Here are my own favourite four. As for collecting goals, I will be really happy if I add an Avengers 4, a DD1 and MAYBE a ST110 to the family.

Those are some killer highlights to a great collecting year!
