This thread needs a bump and I noticed DiceX has been posting again and I found something new that I realy wanted to show him and to see if he can explain how it happened. I am thinking someone at the comic plant must have done this one intentionaly but I don't know.

well I am a bit because when I sold it to you I told you I thought it was F/VF outter and VF inner cover and I am just hoping that I was close to what CGC gave it so that you will not be mad at me and not make my grading skills look any worse than the recent Grading Contest already did.

Yea it is miscut a little weird like the outter cover was in a bind when the edges were trimed, the right edges lines up good but the top of the outter cover is cut a little lower than the inner cover so with the book closed you can see a little of the inner cover sticking out at the top too. I am very happy to have found it.

I don't know I must have looked through over 3,000 ASM's before I finally found this one. But I wish you good Luck hope you find a few. any interest in trading that Spider-Man Unlimited #1 Double Cover?

:banana: :headbang: (thumbs u Well BRNebraska you are right it sure is a blast to find one yourself as I finally got Lucky and found my first ASM Double cover today in a lot I just got in from ebay and funny thing is I did not even have to open the book to see it was a Double Cover, the outer cover is slid up about 1/2 inch and has a white band at the bottom of the outter cover very cool item.

and another Flash that I have had for a while. Any Flash collectors on here I am always Looking to trade for ASM Double Covers.

Not to mention I traded him a Nice Graded #41 Double Cover not long ago. and I had two of them at the time, it must be one of the more common Double Covers books.

Let's see 'em I don't even list them on ebay anymore since gijoed bought my quad cover defenders 51 4 years ago. They go straight to the source. The books I found over the last few weeks are Champions 13, Freedom Fighters 11 and Mars Patrol 7. The later being supernice on the inside. But the other two are vgish outside and probably f/vf or a little better inside Hey Jeff what kind of condition is the Champions #13 in I might be interested in that one I have a #2 & #15 with Double Covers already be cool to have the complete run in Double Covers. Wish I could come down to Alanta and spend the day going through Long Boxes with you it would be fun. :grin:And Yes I still have that Inhumans #12 35 cent variant Double Cover, still the only one of those I have ever heard of.

You find one in about every 200/250 comics! (worship) If so I have got to be the unluckest person alive as I have been collecting comics for like 33 years and I have owned well over 20,000 comics and I have only ever found 3 Double Covers in all those comics and I have looked in every one of them. I have found some MJ inserts as well. So you have found some more Double Covers? what have you found any Spidey's I hope ? (thumbs u I would guess you are probably right about books after the 1990 being less likely to have Double Covers seems like I see allot less of them than the older ones. Need some help looking through those 300 boxes?

If I told you, I'd have to kill ya! Nah, I'll spill the beans. My brother does a large amount of buying and selling on eBay, and checks many of the books he buys to see if they have double covers, variant covers, etc. Then he sells them to me, or in this case, gives it to me for an early Christmas gift! He's handled so many comics, than he can usually feel the extra weight of the double cover, or Jewelers insert, etc, so he can check it! I used to be the bulk grader for him, so most of my early ones I found for myself in his stock. Either myself or he has found every book I've posted in this thread! None were bought as double covers. If you have never found one yourself, I can't really describe the thrill! (thumbs u very, very nice X-Men 193 Double Cover great find. :headbang: Reason I ask where you are finding them is over the last few years I have bought thousands of cheap modern age Amazing Spider-Man comics to resale in my ebay store and some issues I have bought more than 70 copies each of and I have never found a single Amazing Spider-Man Double cover in all those comics and I have checked every single one I have found a few myself but very few, not too long ago I was going through some old lots I bought and I found a nice X-Factor #10. I am just wonder how rare it is for a comic to get a Double Cover and judging by all the ASM's I have went through over the last few years they must be very rare.
