  1. Graham Crackers Comics. I used them for years and had nothing but good experiences from them. https://www.grahamcrackers.com/
  2. If I had a very desirable comic and some kid signed his name on the inside page, that doesn't really bother me. I look at comics as a kids medium and as such I don't really see it as defacing if it isn't too distracting. The CGC SS isn't my cup of tea and I usually don't like big sigs of any kind on the cover.
  3. I have seen other JK sigs on the first page. That looks like a legit sig. Cool book.
  4. It blew my mind as a 13 year old. I seem to remember SW #1 came out the same month as ASM 252 (or close together). It was a great marketing strategy. To me SW was huge. I used to buy my comics from a book store called The Book Emporium. Unfortunately, it was 6 miles away and the only way for me to get there was to ride my bike in the turning (middle) lane down a 4 lane highway. I would make that trek every week on my Race Inc. BMX bike. I wouldn't let the cashier put the books in a bag but rather did it myself. Then I would tuck in my t-shirt and put the bag underneath and ride as carefully as possible home. Of those books that I have since graded CGC 9.6 seems to be about where they all fall except for ASM 238,252, and SW 8 which graded out to CGC 9.8.
  5. I used SpotHero and parked 2 blocks away for $12. Though C2E2 was a buying disappointment. I purchased exactly 0 comics.
  6. I believe that the actual newsstand edition actually has a higher price. I used to have one of every SM book pulled and they asked me if I wanted the Newsstand edition where the only difference was the price.

  8. He may have been Art Director by this time. He had a huge impact on the characters development too. I don't really know why anyone gets a sig on there books so who knows? Personal preference?
  9. Had nothing to do with ASM 2. Sony saw the benefit for letting Disney use SM in their films. Tons of great exposure and keeping SM in the public eye. The deal is Sony gives Disney nothing from their stand alone movies aside what a Producer would make after certain financial goals were met and Disney can use SM in their moves as supporting cast and pay Sony nothing from CA Civil War and Avengers. Fans love the deal because you get to see SM involved in the Marvel universe. Win Win Win
  10. Well Disney wasn't in a position to force anything. Only Sony could have decided to sell the rights back. I was actually talking about when Marvel was on the ropes and was selling anything they could to stay afloat. I think right now Sony plays ball because there is more money to be made if they do.
  11. But if you were a near bankrupt bidness-man you might sell the movie rights away for income especially if you didn't have a movie studio.
  12. He just said Kickstarter/indigogo. I think the question is are some of them worth grading.
  13. If It is a book you like and want to pay to have it slabbed because it would look great go for it. If your doing it in hopes of selling it for profit probably not. That's not to say it couldn't happen but most likely not.
  14. Speaking as an IT professional once an image is digitized it is incredibly difficult to keep a reign on it. Even in a password protected folder people have access. Some may download a copy for themselves people go and new people come in. Look no further than the massive digital files leaked or stolen on a regular basis and many of those are from insider threats. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in the limited nature of these. My opinion.
  15. Look up Quill Decision. Supreme Court Ruling. Some states still are getting no sales tax from Comiclink.
  16. 6.0-6.5 if that's a tear on the back. No tear then as high as 7.0
  17. Yeah I picked this up as soon as it showed up in my ebay lists. I love the Oakland copies.
  18. I also have this Oakland copy. Issue 49 is one of my favorites.
  19. 9.4 - 9.6 The slight bottom corners I think are why I say 9.4. Of course that is on cover looks only. I LOVE this book. It's outside of my collecting focus but I would love to have a HG copy!
  20. Finished my ASM 120-130 9.6 White pages goal and my Iron Man 1-20 9.6 goal.
