  1. What was so special about that book that drove the craziness?
  2. Like Iron Man #219. NO ONE cared about this book before the movie. Most people don't care about IM comics generally I think. A $5 that people want north of $40 now. It will crash pretty soon.
  3. Based on the pictures you provided I would say 9.6. The corner rub and the slight roll of the book near the spine. It looks flat with the scan but the picture with it in its bag shows it. Pressing it would get rid of that. Great book!
  4. I just think sellers don't care. I wonder what % of collectors seek out newsstand over other distribution channels.
  5. I still think it is an awesome Marvel event with a goofy but fun story and great art and some iconic covers.
  6. Great book. If that corner is the only defect it should be 9.4 IMO.
  7. All I can say is that SW was very exciting for me as a 12 year old. Spidey was cool and I got to see all the heroes in one book (which was the first time for me). Showing how SM go the black costume etc. I have my original copy and a graded copy.
  8. SW 8 is the origin of the symbiote which becomes Venom. If you are a Spider-man/Venom fan this definitely a key. The whole SW 12 issues are a key in my book. I loved going to the book emporium to see if the new issue was out.
  9. The same thing can be said about any ebay purchase really. If you are freaked out about it explain in your listing you will not sell to anyone with low feedback. I have sold and bought expensive books off of ebay with no issues.
  10. I just looked into the mirror and said C$B$C$S five times and the boogie man did not get me.
  11. Why does an offer have to be offline? Is that in the guidelines? If so can you send me the link?
  12. Maybe people who keep that price up are people who were enthralled with the hobgoblin story when younger. I was 12 when 238 dropped and I loved it. Also, I do not think people are buying it to crack out of the case and read but I have 3 or 4 copies and one is a reader. I used to read mister miracle but it never really spoke to me.
  13. Express drop off at C2E2 was anything but. I was in line for an hour just to drop off for submission. Had I known it was going to take so long I would have just mailed it in. This was the first time for me trying the express drop off.
  14. As someone in Information Technology most hacks come from a phishing attack where you click on a link loaded with malware. Where there is no two step authentication there are bad actors using brute force attacks on accounts and if you have an easy password it does not take long to crack. When a four digit pin is used it is easily cracked. There are only 10000 possible combinations and fewer when people use multiple of the same digit like 1153. Hackers use these first in their attacks because they are commonly used. Be safe out there in digital land.
  15. Would like to have their Iron Man's. Too far for a looksee though.
  16. I picked up some nice books from Bob Storms, Greg Reece and several more folks. At least their were some folks with the kind of books I was looking for. Usually it is not the case.
  17. I don't consider that a defect. I see that a lot from that printer where it has some wavy qualities. Now whether CGC considers it a defect is another matter. I wouldn't return it if it was me.
  18. I usually go on Friday's. School is still in session and it is just less crowded. I take my son who loves all the whiz bang stuff while I look for comics.
