The fact no title lasted more than 4 issues is probably why they didn’t catch on back then. Hard to get invested in something that gets cancelled a few months in. They’re comic nerd obscurities as far as collectibles go - like the people who collect monkey covers or Archie comics with B&V in bikinis.

They’re fairly worthless as I’ve put together a good size run and paid $5 (or less) for each. Occasionally you find a dope on Mycomicshop or a IG sale asking $20 for one but nobody ever pays that. There’s no demand because your selling to a tiny tiny miniscule audience.

As for movies/tv, the comic boom is almost dead anyway. And we lived through it and didn’t get anything from Image or Valiant (except that one unwatchable Vin Diesel movie) and those universes were infinitely more popular and cohesive.

A reminder that not only was Bloodshot terrible, it was released March 13, 2020, the day the world closed because of COVID.

At this show there is at least one exception and that would be the display for "Comics, Cards, and Collectibles" ... Mark Nathan's outfit. For this show it is run by Flying Donut, a respected Forumite, and their set-up is so large there can be 10 folks looking through boxes and not in each others way. When I'm at Baltimore, it is the absolute first place I go .... it's box diving Heaven :cloud9: Get there early and you won't believe what you'll find in the boxes. GOD BLESS ...

Our booth every year is in the exact center of the show - perks of being the show promoter - and is on top of red carpet. You can't miss it. We have more comics at our booth in Baltimore than in probably 90% of comic shops in the United States. This year we had 101 long, 200 short, 300 magazine boxes, and 800 wall books. In comic booths, as in many things, size most definitely matters.

Its getting worse out there. Some select examples.

CGC 9.4 Amazing Spider-Man 178 Newsstand. Classic Green Goblin Versus Spider-Man

At best it's lack of knowledge or ignorance but knowing Comic Dealers it's intentionally misleading and wreaks of zero Moral's and Ethic's. Which is why I feel the folks need to be aware of June 1979 cover date being the first month every Marvel regular size Comic Book had both a Newsstand and a Direct Sale is important.  If they do then they won't pay more for Nova 1's or ASM 178's.

Both of those are accurate listings. They both are newsstand copies. It doesn't matter, of course, because they were ALL newsstand copies, but what can you do.
