  1. Very good point....but people were also commenting on how the regular cover was sold out at a lot of places too.
  2. Honestly, other than the cover art, I have no idea. What I can tell you is that although the art for the cover was released before FOC, the trade dress format was not....so at the time of FOC, no one knew it was to be a GPK reference.
  3. Well, you have to subtract the calories you burned going to and from the store.....twice
  4. Did you perchance enjoy another sammie on the way home? HA!
  5. Very under-ordered....especially for a Deadpool book. This one snuck up on folks right up until a couple of hours ago. Online shops even had a good chunk of inventory available for cover...MCS shows that they are still available for $10 right now.
  6. I too hope your mom gets better from this and that there are no lingering effects. Good to see you back here though---thanks for the updates!
  7. Yeah, there's been a lot of people scrambling for this cover over the past few days and most shops were really light on ordering them. At a guess, Mattina's output is one of the problems---he does like 3+ covers (not counting exclusives) per month...every month. Perhaps people just thought there would be lots of copies of this book available ---hence you were able to pick up the previous Mattina variant from last month, just sitting there.
  8. There was something weird going on with that Deathstroke 36 Mattina. It's pretty rare that he'll surprise the market now and there are usually copies aplenty to be had for days. It is an outstanding cover, but still....for this to surprise the market surprises me. The WW JLD Witching Hour Variant is a pretty sharp book and I could see that being under-ordered due to the amount of books released as well as the $4.99 price tag on a multi-title storyline. It almost seems that you have to be in line when the store opens to have a copy or two of the very warm or hot books---just being an hour or two late means that there is nothing....
  9. Deathstroke #36 Mattina and Wonder Woman Justice League Dark Witching Hour #1 Federici
  10. Take Catwoman 65 @ $50 less 10% Take ASM 400 @ $55 less 10% Take Wonder Woman 142 @ $45 less 10% Please add to my pile---
  11. Great buy over that time span! Hope you're cashing in now!
  12. Okey dokey. Let's get back on track here folks. How about those recent issues of Red Hood and the Outlaws....specifically #25 and #26 ---both Putri cover priced variants. That next issue also has a Putri variant and I'm guessing that a three book set will sell very very well. That Justice League #8 Jim Lee cover priced variant is already off to a bang from this morning's release.....seems to be sold out everywhere and moving up in price. How about that Elric the White Wolf #1 cover priced variant....impressive results for a two week old book.
  13. It seems these "decisions" on what is a cameo and first full appearance should have some established parameters....especially in such a well established hobby. Further muddying the waters is the whole argument about the Batman Who Laughs. Apparently, Snyder even says that the first appearance is in Dark Nights Metal #2....not TT12, but the slab labels claim the opposite. Strange. What does the actual writer know anyways?
  14. Since he is claiming damage through transit, wouldn't it make sense to file a claim through USPS (or whatever carrier you used) for the full amount of coverage available? I am assuming you didn't insure it...but if you sent it via Priority, isn't there $100 insurance attached??
  15. It appears that guerilla_shopper is an invalid eBay name---did you transcribe their eBay handle correctly?
  16. Time to invite another candidate to the arena. ...oops, I meant forum!
  17. …..and don't forget to charge your phone Jason Vales.
  18. Did you charge your phone yet Jason Vales?
  19. OK...it's official. I busted my gut laughing!
  20. That pointy head of yours must get stuck frequently in a lot of drywall.
