Probably my second favorite Archie cover (behind 35). Love this copy and the Montana original gag that inspired it.

Archie 46 has a nice variety to choose from. 

This is my favorite Matt Baker piece in my collection. 
Original art featuring Cinderella and the glass slipper from his first published work, Ruth Roche’s Cinderella adaptation.

Thanks in large part to some boardies I have caught the romance bug. I’ve always loved Baker, of course, but have been catching up a little to all of the other great stuff out there. I did not do what it took to get a lot of the books I wanted, but did manage to get a few.

Figured id see if a Boardie would like this one. A CGC 5.0 ow/w copy just sold on HA last week for $2400 w BP. 

This copy is a VG, some color breaking creasing (visible on black areas) small split on edge of back cover, some (printing error?) smudge under logo. Flat copy, both staple attached, great art inside and Knockout cover by Vince Colletta..took me years to across this one, doesn't pop up often.

I’ll Take It 

It’s been a bit since I’ve added any significant golden age to the collection. One of the first great raw books I loved was Airboy v4 #8 and it graded out 8.5. I sold it several years ago and recently picked up this 9.0, tied for highest. 

This will be a fun one

Those are the most desired/valuable Baker covers in order. The GCE 12 and C Love 25 are pretty even. A 5.5 of any of the first three would bring more than that Seven Seas 4 from what I’ve seen.
