The label does not say it was signed by Kirby. Should be a Green/Yellow label.
You're right, Kirby died before there was a CGC.
My question is more about the look of the Kirby sig. I am by no means an autograph expert, but it looks fishy. I did see that the Kirby is listed as "written on cover" and so not a witnessed sig.

So, when I put in a title and issue, the links that come up are just the links to the selling sites, not to the page on the site that has the book?

I was a part of the 94 club briefly, back in the fall for about a week. A friend and I bought a collection and I was the designated seller. Damp-ish basement loosely boxed original owner 80s and 90s stuff. Part of it was a sporadic run of the Byrne X Men, including a vg ish 94. Lasted on the bay for about 10 minutes. Neither one of us are X guys.

Yes, there are penalties for filing false reports, but if I was sent to someone, who wanted a report, and they told me this story...I would say that it is a civil matter and a police report is not needed. Some people just want something on paper that has some police department boilerplate. There is a trend where people simply want to criminalize everything in order to get police involvement where it is neither needed or even required. Sometimes the police are not the answer to every problem.
Oh, sure, I don't disagree. Just pointing out eBay's thinking on the matter. And eBay's thinking is seldom rational.
Agree... Ebay and many other companies.

All I know is the first thing Judge Judy asks for is the police report. It adds some kind of evidentiary value apparently.
Possibly it is similar to a sworn statement, with penalties for perjury.4 hours ago, RockMyAmadeus said:eBay uses filing police reports as a means of weeding out potential scams. Scammers are much less likely to file a police report, which is then "on the record." eBay counts on that fact, and assumes...not always correctly, but usually...that someone willing to go to the police is probably telling the truth, at least as they see it.
Preponderance of the evidence is the standard in civil small claims cases. I won a case just because I was willing to go through the labor of giving the precise values of 3,000 quarter books. That convinced the judge that I wasn't making it up.

Also, I have never understood what the necessity is for a company to "require" a police report. A report ony parrots what the complainant says (at least where I work) . And in this case, what would the charge be? This is a civil matter, not criminal. In this case, the seller is simply saying the item was returned in a worse condition then when it was sent.

If I bought a Woodgod, I would hire a film crew to document the $##@ out of it.
That might be a worthy entrant at Cannes.

I have a Marvel Team Up 65 (the Captain Britain one) that has a Pizzazz magazine insert. I have checked ebay cgcs and don't see any with a notation. Apparently an insert isn't necessarily an insert.

I agree, even showcase 22 is undervalued. All the Green Lantern keys will catch up with the other DC franchises {once} IF a good movie is finally made
FTFY. It doesn't seem that difficult to put a good hero movie together, but these people continue to screw it up.

The worst characters are sidekicks. Robin ruined Batman for about 30 years.

ASM 11. From here. Happy to still have it, and the other 30 odd slabs, since then.

Yes, true, he wasn't big, ugly, nasty, Venom until Eddie Brock.

Is there any interest /value in Bronze Archie and related books? I have 30 ish and, although I used to read when I was younger, they really don't fit in with my books anymore. Same question for Silver cartoon Dell/Harvey?

Many core X-Men 1st apps.
Spidey villains! Not fast risers but always steady.
I am always hoping to pick up the next ASM silver villain 1st. I want a 9 next but I have to accept the prices.

Not technically or otherwise. The book includes the (very brief) story of how Spider-Man acquired the black costume. That's all.
Agreed, Venom isn't Venom until the symbiote merged with Eddie Brock
Technically, the black suit is Venom. Like it or not, it is the same entity. There was an internal tug of war between the good of Peter and the aggressive nature of the entity/suit.

I don’t consider sw8 a key, which is why I mentioned asm252.
It's the origin of Venom technically. I would consider it a Key but to each his own.
I agree, but it isn't in continuity and I think that may hold it back a bit. Also, it is a quite dumb sequence on how he got the costume/entity

I recently purchased an ASM 13 5.0 green label, 5th wrap married. I paid half the price of a blue label. There would be a lot of work in marrying a 5th wrap, I would suppose. Unbending the staples, matching the new page staple holes, and reassembling the book. I don't consider it a glod. I consider it a gthi (glad to have it).
Why wouldn't that book get a purple label?
I don't know. Green label with note that says 5th wrap married. I am just assuming how the wrap would get installed. I don't think married stuff gets purple.
